Pioneer Days Rodeo and the Butterfield Stage Days (Bridgeport, Texas) ★ 2010: Completed second Triple Crown in four years, winning his record-breaking eighth all-around gold buckle along with those for tie-down roping and team roping-heading. It made him the third cowboy in history to have multiple Triple Crown seasons and the first since Everett Bowman (1935, 1937) to manage it with two different combinations of events. Broke his own single-season earnings record with $507,921, becoming the first PRCA cowboy to surpass a half-million dollars in a year. He also broke the earnings record for a single rodeo with his $211,509 at the Wrangler NFR to earn the inaugural RAM Top Gun Award. Won the tie-down average with a time of 88.6 seconds on 10 head. With partner Patrick Smith finished second in the team roping average while setting event earnings records for heading at the NFR ($120,419) and in a single season ($201,392).
