Co-champion at the All American ProRodeo Finals (Waco, Texas) ★ 2017: During Round 10 or the Wrangler NFR, Costa set in motion a series of events he will remember for the rest of his life. Costa won the round with a 7.8-second run and in the process, took first place in the average with an 81.3-second time on 10 head and became the first Brazilian to win a PRCA Tie-Down Roping world champion- ship with $317,421. Costa also won the RAM Top Gun honor by earning $195,519, the most by any single-event competitor at the 2017 WNFR.
