2025: HAMILTON EARNS XBULLS TOUR TITLE By Alex Dodd

Ky Hamilton, the 2023 PRCA Bull Riding World Champion, continued his renaissance season on Sept. 10 by claiming his first Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Tour Year-End Championship. After Stetson Wright’s injury at the Puyallup Rodeo, the race for the Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Tour Championship turned into a three-cowboy race between Hamilton, Wacey Schalla and Tristen Hutchings. To claim the title, Hamilton needed to hold his spot atop the Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Tour Standings during the Xtreme Bulls Tour Finale. Schalla made up some ground, finishing third in the opening go-round Sept. 8, while Hutchings and Hamilton bucked off. But on Sept. 9, Schalla bucked off twice, and Hutchings’ fifth-place finish in Round 2 and third-place finish in Round 3 weren’t enough to push to the top. Hamilton sealed the deal with a 91.5-point ride on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Magic Touch to win the second go-round and ultimately secure the Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Tour Championship. 2025: WELSH WINS PENDLETON WHISKY XTREME BULLS FINALE Hayden Welsh entered the Pendleton Whisky Xtreme Bulls Tour Finale as a surging PRCA permit holder, but when he left Happy Canyon Arena in Pendleton, Ore., he left little doubt that he’s an up-and-coming star in PRORODEO. The 20-year-old from Gillette, Wyo., earned his way into the three-head event as the 20th cowboy in the Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Standings. And Welsh rode like a man on a mission. He finished Day 1 of the event as the leader with a 91-point ride on Sutton Rodeos’ The Agenda. But he had two bulls left to ride on September 9. When the dust settled, the youngster went toe-to-toe with the best in the world and won the average at 266 points on three head. “Praise God. That’s all it is,” Welsh said after the event. “I was 91, but you can’t walk in here with your head high and your shoulders rocking like Conor McGregor. You have to keep your nose down and stay humble but confident still.” 2025 PENDLETON XTREME BULLS, PENDLETON, ORE., SEPT. 9-10 Bull riding: Qualifier Round: 1.
