The top 49 contestants at season’s end (Sept. 30) in bareback riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bull riding and saddle bronc riding, and the top 98 team ropers will automatically qualify for the tournament. Giving more athletes a shot to compete at the FWSSR tournament, seven north Texas rodeos have been selected as “qualifier rodeos” for the Stock Show’s bracket-style tournament. The winner, or highest-ranking finisher in each event not having otherwise qualified, will earn a berth in the tournament. Qualifier rodeos for the tournament include:
