So, Potter knows how rough the rodeo world can get when injuries happen, and paychecks stop for ailing cowboys. When Mike Cervi Jr., the son of ProRodeo Hall of Fame stock contractor Mike Cervi and husband of World Champion Barrel Racer Sherry Cervi, died in a private plane crash on Sept. 29, 2001, near the Marshfield (Wis.) Municipal Airport at the age of 30, Potter wanted to do something to memorialize his late son-in-law and help other cowboys in the

It’s something they need.”
