QUALIFICATIONS: 12 from 2022 X-Broncs standings and 12 from 2022 PRCA World Standings (as of 7 days prior to entry closing). The alternate list for this event will be based on o2022 PRCA World Standings as of 7 days prior to entry closing. CHECK-IN: Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. The check-in deadline for alternates to be considered as “walk-up replacements” at Xtreme Broncs Events is 1 hour prior to start of the event. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn on site the night before by the judges. Horses will be placed in order on the judges’ sheets and the contestants will be drawn at random to the animals. PAY-OFF: 6% of total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with results. Of the remaining purse 30% of the total purse will be allocated to the long go-round, pays 8 places. 20% of the total purse will be allocated to the final go-round, pays 4 places, and 50% will be allocated to the average, pays 8 places. ALL PERCENTAGES WILL BE DIVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULEBOOK. NOTE: If a contestant that is accepted as an entry at the Rapid City X-Broncs Finale is conflicted on the same day at another PRCA rodeo or event as the Rapid City X-Broncs Finale, he will be allowed to draw out of the conflicting rodeo or event as long as he notifies the draw out through PROCOM by Friday, August 19 at 5 PM. NOTE: Money won at this event will count towards qualifications for the 2022 National Finals Rodeo and the 2022 Rookie of the Year Standings, as long as the contestant has entered and competed in a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will not count for circuit standings nor will it be applied to the contestants required circuit participation count. Money won at this event will not count towards All Around Standings. Four judges will be used for scoring. Two will mark the animals, two will mark the rides, and the total score from all four judges will be divided by two for the final score. STK. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Deadwood Stand Alone Steer Roping Event. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past 5 years. Permit members of all ages are eligible to enter. Contestants will pay entry fees of $400. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Deadwood Stand Alone Steer Roping Event will be used to determine the payoff. Payoff will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the payoff. Only the three go- rounds and the average after three go- rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. CONTESTANT ENTRANCE - Follow signs off of 10th Avenue to enter rodeo grounds. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must wear back numbers. ALL EVENTS - If a contestant who qualifies for the finals notifies a turn-out, doctor’s release, or visible injury release through PROCOM, the contestant with the next highest ranking in the average may be contacted by PROCOM and placed in that available position. Non-notified turn-outs and visible injury releases after the turn- out deadline will not be replaced. If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the position the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled. The replacement contestant’s competition order will be based on his ranking in the average (not on the ranking of the contestant that he is replacing). In the riding events, if an animal has already been drawn for a contestant who has turned-out, the replacement contestant will draw an animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) and the first available designated re-ride. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a re-run is given for any other reason, during a performance, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. TR - Score will be 18 feet.
