The event will count towards the official rodeo count for any contestant that turns-out after stock callbacks, whether that contestant is replaced or not. PAY-OFF: 6% of total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with results. ALL NOTE: Money won at this event will count towards qualifications for the 2021 National Finals Rodeo and the 2021 Rookie of the Year Standings, as long as the contestant has entered and competed in a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos during the 2021 rodeo year. Money won will not count for circuit standings or All Around standings. This event will not be applied to the contestants required circuit participation count. GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old at the time of entry closing. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the West Texas Fair & Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must be a card member (no permits). Contestants will pay an additional entry fees of $300. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the West Texas Fair & Rodeo will be used to determine the pay- off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the three go- rounds and the average after three go- rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping.
