LEGACY STEER ROPING DEADWOOD SD AUGUST 19-20 DAYS OF 76’ LEGACY STEER ROPING ARENA: Days of 76 Arena ADDRESS: Lower Main Street PERFS: 2 Perfs: August 19-11:00 AM; August 20- 11:00 AM EVENTS: SR @ $1 PERMITS: SR GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old at the time of entry closing. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Days of ‘76 Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must be a card member (no permits) and must have entered and competed in the steer roping event at a minimum of 7 PRCA rodeos (or events) during the 2018 rodeo year and the 2019 rodeo year combined (as of entry closing time) and also exempt will be any NFSR qualifiers. Contestants will pay an additional entry fees of $400. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Days of ‘76 Rodeo will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the first three go-rounds and the average after three go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping (the progressive round will not be considered). There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK. CONTESTANT ENTRANCE - Follow signs off of 10th Avenue to enter rodeo grounds. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must wear back numbers. ALL EVENTS - If a contestant who qualifies for the finals notifies a turn-out, doctor’s release, or visible injury release through PROCOM, the contestant with the next highest ranking in the average may be contacted by PROCOM and placed in that available position. Non-notified turn-outs and visible injury releases after the turn- out deadline will not be replaced. If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the position the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled. The replacement contestant’s competition order will be based on his ranking in the average (not on the ranking of the contestant that he is replacing). In the riding events, if an animals has already been drawn for a contestant who has turned-out, the replacement contestant will draw an animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) and the first available designated re-ride. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a re-run is given for any other reason, during a performance, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. TD, SW, TR - Two go-rounds. W/F’s. The first go- round will begin during slack on Mon., Aug. 19 at 10 AM. The second go-round will begin during slack on Tues., Aug. 20 at 10 AM and will conclude during the first four performances . SR - Two go-rounds. The first go-round will be run during slack on Mon., Aug. 19 and the second go-round will be run during slack on Tues., Aug. 20. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. The misdraw procedure will not be used. $45 stock charge per go-round. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 48 minimum entries. W’/F’s (12). $5,000 held out for finals. No compensation. No slack.

GROUND RULES: Money above includes $3,000 committee purse, $3,000 PRCA matching funds, estimated sponsor dollars $2,800, and estimated $3 funds of $450. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Mon., Aug. 5 between 9 AM and 11 AM. Re- entries will be accepted if the number of entries for an event at the original entry closing time is less than limit defined in the ground rules. If more contestants enter during the “re-entry” period than there are positions available, the contestants accepted will be based on the qualification procedures defined in the Circuit Finals ground rules. Under no circumstances will a contestant who entered during the re- entry period be able to displace a contestant who entered during the original entry period. If a contestant TO’s or DR’S prior to the “re-entry” period, that position may be filled during the “re-entry” period. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. ALL CONTESTANTS - The Badlands SR CFR 2019 Cutoff date will be July 27th, 2019 . SR - Up to 18 contestants accepted, based on Badlands circuit standings and participation count . SR - Five go-rounds beginning at 12 PM on Aug. 18. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. (The misdraw procedure will not be used.) $45 stock charge per go-round. ALL CONTESTANTS - 4 go-rounds. Two complete go-rounds each day. $45 stock charge per go- round. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. The misdraw procedure will not be used. Contestants are required to compete in the steer roping event at a minimum of 15 PRCA rodeos for the money won at this event to count towards 2019 World Standings or the 2019 Rookie of the Year standings. Money won at this event will not count towards All Around standings. It will count toward circuit standings and towards circuit rodeo count. STK.
