See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. ALL EVENTS - The “walk-up replacement” policy will be in effect. The deadline for “walk up replacement” will be two hours prior to the performance. The alternate will compete on the animal that is drawn for the contestant the he is replacing. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted on Mon., Jan. 8 between 9 AM and 11 AM for any available positions. TRADE DEADLINE - Fri., Jan. 5 at 4 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties confirm through PROCOM. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 24 minimum entries (12 per performance). No compensation. No slack. (See R1.2.15; R1.2.15.1; and R1.2.15.2 for qualifications). One go-round with the first and second place contestants each performance advancing to a bonus round during that same performance. If the first and/or second place contestant declines advancement to the bonus round, the contestant with the next highest score will advance (if the next highest score is tied, a flip of a coin will determine who advances). If there are 8 or less entries per performance at the time that the entries close, the committee has the option to cancel the event or have two go-rounds, back-to back, same performance. If two go-rounds, the number of entries during the re-entry period will not exceed one half the original limit. PAY-OFF: The long go-round will be paid off per the rulebook. $1,000 per performance will be held out of the total purse for the bonus round(s). Winner takes all in the bonus round(s). There will be no pay-off for the average. If there are no qualified rides in an event in the bonus round, $500 (of the $1,000) will be added back to the pay-off for the long go-round, and $500 will be split between the two qualifiers for the bonus round and will be considered ground money. RE-RIDES - Re-rides and the re-ride order will be designated by the stock contractor. Any animal turned-out in a performance will automatically become the first re-ride prior to using the designated re-rides. If more than one animal is turned-out in a performance, a random draw will

determine which animal will be the first re-ride. The bonus round stock will be designated by the stock contractor. NOTE: In order for money won at this event to count for qualifying for the 2024 National Finals Rodeo or the 2024 Rookie of the Year Standings, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos during the 2024 rodeo year. Money won at this event will not count for All Around Standings, circuit standings, nor will this event be applied to a contestant’s circuit participation count. STK. ALL EVENTS - There will be an extended grace period for the entries for San Antonio on Mon., Jan. 15, which is the first business day after the qualifier, from 8:30AM to 4PM for contestants to change preferences and buddy groups at San Antonio. At this time, team ropers will also be allowed to designate or change partners. TIMED EVENT TRADE DEADLINE - Thurs., Jan. 4 at 4 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must sign a release of liability with the secretary before competing in this rodeo. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - In-state origin and out-of-state origin: All horses must have proof of current health papers issued within 30 days and a negative Coggins Test within the previous 12 months. Health papers for any horse must not expire while horse is on grounds. ALL CONTESTANTS - Stalls and RV hookups will be available for rent on a first come, first serve basis. Contestants who are among the top 35 based on 2023 money won, the top 5 based on 2024 money won, or who have already been accepted as entries at the San Antonio Rodeo will not be accepted as entries at the Uvalde Qualifier. LOCATION - Monday, January 8, 2024 through Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Uvalde County Fairplex located at 215 Veterans lane, Uvalde, TX. BB, SB, BR - Mon., Jan. 8, 2024 and Wed., January 10, 2024. ALL EVENTS - One go-round plus a top 20 progressive round. The top 20 in each event based on highest scores or fastest times from the first go round will compete in the Qualifying performances

on Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13. If there are less than 20 contestants with qualified scores or times in an event, the remaining positions in the two Qualifying performances (not to exceed 20) will be filled based on 2023 money won. If ties result in more than 20 to advance to the two Qualifying performances, the tied contestant(s) with the highest ranking in the 2023 money won qualifications will advance. 10 contestants will be randomly drawn into each performance. ALL EVENTS - The top 10 contestants based on highest scores or fastest times in the average (after the long go-round and the progressive go-round) will be eligible to be accepted as entries for the San Antonio Rodeo. These 10 contestants or teams must notify PROCOM by Mon., Jan. 15 at 4PM to confirm their intent to compete at the San Antonio Rodeo. Failure to notify PROCOM may result in the next highest ranked contestant being contacted and offered the position. If a contestant chooses not to be accepted as an entry at the San Antonio Rodeo due to injury or any other reason, the next highest ranked contestant from the Qualifying performances will be contacted and offered the position. This procedure will be followed until all 10 positions are filled. These 10 contestants (or teams) will be randomly placed among the other 40 contestants (or teams) that have already been accepted for the San Antonio Rodeo. RE - Riding stock for the Qualifying performance will be drawn at least 24 hours prior to the performance. RE - Three re-rides will be available (and on site) for each performance for each of the riding events. In addition, three more re-rides will be designated to be used, “only if needed”, in the case that one or more of the three originally designated re-rides are used to replace a sick or injured animal that was drawn by a contestant. If in the event that more re-rides are awarded that there are re-ride animals available, additional re-rides will be drawn from animals in that pen. RE- If an animal has already been drawn for a contestant who turned out, the replacement contestant will draw an animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned out (includes D.R’s and V.I.R’s) and the 1st available designated re-ride. SW: Tuesday, January 9, 1PM. One go-round. Top 20 in the long go advance to qualifying rodeo performances on Friday, January 12, 2024 and Saturday, January 13, 2024. Payoff will be in accordance with the Rule Book. TR: Thursday, January 11, 1PM. One go-round. Top 20 in the long go will advance to the qualifying rodeo performances on Friday, January 12, 2024 and Saturday, January 13, 2024. Contestants must rope with the same partner for all go-rounds. $15 stock charge per man for cards and permits. Payoff will be accordance with the Rule Book. TD: Thursday, January 11, 9AM.
