TRADE DEADLINE - The trade deadline for the progressive round will be one hour after the competition of the slack on April 20. Trades will be made through the rodeo secretary. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a re-run is awarded for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. TD, SW, TR - If there are not enough contestants in the current year circuit money category to fill the allotted circuit positions, the remaining positions will be filled with contestants from the previous year circuit money won category. TD - Electric eye barrier will be used. Length of score will be set by the event representative, stock contractor, and committee after the herd has been established but prior to the initial competition draw (may be longer than Rulebook specifications). SW - Electric eye barrier may be used if steers weigh a minimum of 500 pounds and length of the score will be set at the event representative’s discretion after the herd has been established but prior to the initial competition draw (may be longer than Rulebook specifications). TR - Only two loops allowed. Electric eye barrier will be used for both headers and heelers. 18ft for headers, 15ft for heelers. TR cattle will be muleys and will be chute run (not drawn). SLACK ORDER: TD, SW, TR QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 60 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. No finals in BB, SB, BR. TD, SW, TR - 80 minimum entries (or teams). Two complete go-rounds will be run in slack on April 19 and April 20. The top 36 (plus splits), based on fastest times in the average from the first and second go-rounds, will advance to a progressive go-round held during the performances on April 21, 22, and 23. See Rodeo Information page of the business journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. FORMAT - One go-round with a top 3 finals during the same performance. Any ties for the top 3 positions will be broken by random draw by the judges. If there are less than three qualified times or scores in an event, a random draw by the judges will determine who advances to fill the remaining positions in the finals (not to exceed three). QUALIFICATIONS: ALL EVENTS - 10 entries. 5 from 2021 money won. 5 from 2022 money won. No exemptions. In the TR, the 10 headers that qualify must rope with the 10 heelers that qualify. If a contestant’s partner is drawn out due to qualification, the contestant who qualified will not be allowed to draw out. contestants whose partners were drawn out due to qualifications. If a header or heeler T.O.’s or D,R.’s prior to the 30-hour deadline, leaving an incomplete team, the next contestant in the corresponding category (header or heeler) on the alternate list will be added. If a notification is not made prior to the 30-hour deadline, the remaining partner may select another partner from among any of the PRCA event contestants already entered at the rodeo, except those scheduled to compete in the TR. PAY-OFF FOR THE FINALS: $7,500 for first, $3,000 for second, and $2,000 for third. Total of $12,500. If there are not 3 qualified scores or times in the Chute Out Round, the remaining placings will be paid based on highest scores or fastest times from the long go-round. There will be no pay-out for the long go-round. Only money paid out to a contestant without a qualified score or time in either go-round will be considered ground money. All other money paid out will count for PRCA World Standings but will not count for circuit standings. This event will not count towards the required circuit participation count. NOTE: The 6% of the purse that is collected by the PRCA will not be held out of the total purse. It will be paid directly to the PRCA by the San Angelo committee. STK.
