horses. TE - If a timed event animal escapes (or a re-run is due for any other reason), the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. TD, SW - R7.8.6 may be waived. TR - Only two loops allowed. BR - No day money. TE - No stock charge. RE - Riding event stock will be drawn at two separate times. The first six performances will be drawn at least 72 hours prior to the 1st perf., and the last five performances of the long go- round will be drawn at least 72 hours prior to the 7th perf. QUALIFICATIONS: ALL EVENTS - 88 minimum entries (or teams). No compensation. No slack. The first go-round (Qualifying round) will consist of the first 11 performances (8 contestants per performance per event). The top 24 contestants (or teams) based on highest scores or fastest times will advance to the Playoff round, which consists of the 12th, 13th and the 14th performances on March 23-25 (8 contestants or teams per performance). If there are not 24 qualified rides in the riding events or qualified times in the timed events, a random draw will determine which contestants will advance to the Playoff round. In the case that there are ties resulting in more than 24 contestants to advance to the Playoff round, a random draw by the judges will determine which contestants advance. In all events, the 24 contestants who qualify for the Playoff round will be placed in compliance to R2.6 (pertaining to progressive go-rounds). Contestants who qualify for the Playoff round will be allowed to trade with the other contestants through the rodeo secretary until 30 minutes after the completion of the 11th performance. The top 8 contestants or teams based on highest scores or fastest times in the Playoff round will advance to the Finals on Saturday, March 26. If there are not 8 qualified rides in the riding events or qualified times in the timed events, contestants will be advanced based on highest scores or fastest times from the first go-round (Qualifying round). In the case that there is a tie resulting in more than 8 contestants, the contestant with the single highest score or fastest time from the Qualifying round will advance. If still tied, a random draw by the judges will determine who will advance. In the case that there are no qualified rides or times in an event in the Finals, the event winner (for bonuses and prizes) will be determined by the highest combined score from the two previous go-rounds in the riding events or the fastest combined time from the two previous go-rounds in the timed events. ALL EVENTS - If a contestant who qualifies for the Playoff round or finals notifies a turn-out, doctor’s release or visible injury release through PROCOM, the contestant with the next highest ranking in the advancement procedure may be placed in that available position. (Non-notified turn- outs and visible injury releases after the turn-out deadline will not be replaced). If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the position, the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled. In the riding events, if an animal has already been drawn for a contestant who turned-out, the replacement contestant will be drawn an animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s), and the first available designated re- ride for the performance. PAY-OFF: There will be no pay-off for the “average”. Money won at Austin will not count towards Texas Circuit Standings.
