BB, SB, BR - The Riding Event representatives will be allowed to screen the stock used at this rodeo. BB, SB, BR - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out through PROCOM (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used as re-rides prior to using the designated re-ride(s). TE - Stock contractor will provide one animal for every contestant plus extras. No stock charge. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a rerun is awarded for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR , TD, SW - 30 minimum entries based on 2023 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closing). No compensation. No slack. No exemptions. TR - 30 minimum teams. The top 30 eligible headers based on 2023 money won as a header only and the top 30 eligible heelers based on 2023 money won as a heeler only (as of 7 days prior to entry closing) that enter will be accepted. The 30 headers that qualify must rope with the 30 heelers that qualify. If a contestant’s partner is drawn out due to qualifications, the contestant who qualified will not be allowed to draw out. A replacement partner will be drawn at random from the other contestants whose partners were drawn out due to qualifications. If a header or heeler TO’S, DR’S, VIR’S or DO’S prior to the 30-hour deadline, leaving an incomplete team, the next contestant in the corresponding category (header or heeler) on the alternate list established by PROCOM will be added to the team. If a notification is not made prior to the 30-hour deadline, the remaining partner may select another partner from among any of the PRCA event contestants already entered at the rodeo, except those scheduled to compete in the TR. SLACK: August 29- 3:00 PM EVENTS: SR @ $1 SPECIAL ENTRY FEES: SR-$200 PERMITS: SR GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old or a permit member at the time of entry closing. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Ellensburg Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past 3 years. Permit members of all ages will be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay an additional entry fees of $200. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Ellensburg Rodeo will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the two go- rounds and the average after two go- rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK. Theses contestants will be notified of any turn-outs or doctor releases and be given the option of re- entry up to the 24 hours prior to rodeo turn out deadline.
