PRCA Business Journal - July 8, 2022
These contestants will compete first (and draw last) in the second go- round regardless of their first go-round times. The ten contestants or teams with the fastest times not including the contestants who qualify for the finals at Casper or Colorado Springs and request to be run first in slack, will be placed in the performance following the procedures outlined in the previous ground rules.” TD, SW, TR - 90 minimum entries (or teams). Two go-rounds. Back-to-back. The first go-round for each back-to-back group will be run at 9 AM on the day of the performance. The committee will have the option of designating two contestants (or teams) to compete during the performance that night for their second go-round. This designation must be made by the committee through PROCOM by 5 PM the first business day after the first go- round trade deadline. Also, the contestants with the top ten fastest times from the first go-round will be placed in the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). The number of contestants placed in the performance will not exceed 10, unless one or both of the committee designated contestants are not among the top 10 from the first go-round (in this case the maximum could be 11 or 12). If the committee designated contestants are among the top 10, they will assume their position based on their first go-round time. If they are not among the top 10, they will run first in the performance (if neither of the two designated contestants are among the top 10, they will run first and second based on the reverse order of their first go-round positions). If splits result in more than 10, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance and which will compete in the slack. The order of competition of ties from the first go-round will also be determined by random draw. If there are not 10 qualified times from the first go-round to fill the performance, the remaining positions will be filled by contestants based on the reverse order of their first go-round positions (only contestants who competed in the first go-round will be placed in the performance). The remaining contestants (not placed in the performance) will run their second go-round in slack immediately following the completion of the first go-round in reverse order of their first go-round. The order of the draw will be the same as the competition order. STK.
