main grandstand stage. 1.6 Contestants should be aware that Calgary Stampede Rodeo is a family event. Contestants will perform in a manner that is suitable for a family audience. Contestants will be mindful that the Rodeo Arena is covered by video cameras and microphones, with screens and monitors projecting the rodeo throughout the Rodeo Arena and grandstands. 1.7 The Arena Director will have final say in the arena on all matters related to production and procedure. 1.8 Contestants will be supplied with Back Numbers specific to each event. Contestants must wear their assigned back number for each event trading back numbers is NOT allowed. A contestant will be fined $250.00 for not wearing their assigned back number. Back numbers must be worn at all times in the ARENA as described above. 1.9 The ARENA and Infield facilities are Non Smoking. 1.10 No family members (including children), guests, escorts, etc., will be allowed in chute or arena areas. 1.11 All competitors will ensure their participation and the participation of any and all individuals associated with them are familiar with the 2023 Calgary Stampede Animal Care Code of Practice. 1.12 Stampede Officials shall in their absolute discretion have the right at any time to add a Rule or Rules in order to clarify or address a circumstance or action not previously outlined or contemplated in the existing 2023 Calgary Stampede Rodeo Ground Rules. 2.0 QUALIFICATIONS: 2.1 SB, BB, TD, SW - The Calgary Stampede will invite thirty (30) contestants: Top fifteen (15) from the 2022 PRCA World Standings (no drop down); Top Five (5) from the 2022 CPRA final standings, not already Qualified (drop-down through 12th place); Top ten (10) from the PRCA Current Year Standings as of May 9, 2023 (drop-down until filled). 2.2 BR - The Calgary Stampede will invite thirty (30) contestants: Top fifteen (15) from the 2022 PRCA Final Standings (no drop down); Top Four (4) from the 2022 CPRA final standings, not already Qualified (drop-down through 12th place). Five (5) Exemptions at the discretion of the Calgary Stampede; Top six (6) from the PRCA Current Year Standings as of May 9, 2023 (drop-down until filled). 2.1 TEAM ROPING will be held Wednesday, July 12 in the Nutrien Western Event Centre (NWEC) on Stampede Park. Performance time is 6:30 pm MST. Ground Rules posted as own event. 2.3 Top 15 2022 PRCA positions will be filled based on 2022 PRCA World Standings - should any Top 15 contestant(s) not enter and sign their contestant agreement, remaining position(s) will be filled in order of the 2023 PRCA World Standings as of May 9, 2023. 2.4 Should there be a tie for the final qualifying spot(s) in the PRCA, CPRA, the tie will be broken in favor of those with the highest total money won in the applicable 2022 regular season of the association for the contestants so tied. (i.e. if two contestants were tied for the final PRCA position - Money won in the 2022 PRCA Regular season will break the tie.) 2.5 All contestants competing at the 2023 Calgary Stampede in Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, and Tie Down Roping, must be PRCA members in good standing. Notwithstanding in any event of the qualification structure outlined above, the Calgary Stampede reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to not issue or retract an invitation to any Rodeo Contestant. Contestant will be required to complete the Calgary Stampede Contestant Agreement for entry to be accepted. Member must be in good standing with

qualifications. It will not count towards All Around and World Standings. STK. The Calgary Stampede Rodeo will feature 3 Pools of competition, each including 3 days of consecutive competition with 10contestants in Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Tie Down Roping, and Steer Wrestling, Semi Finals Round with 12 per event: 1 Showdown Round with 4 Contestants per event. 1.2 CONTESTANT AGREEMENT references the binding legal agreement (Calgary Stampede Rodeo Contestant Agreement) between each contestant and the Calgary Stampede. Each contestant accepts the terms of the Contestant Agreement upon entering the Calgary Stampede and the Contestant Agreement is executed by the Calgary Stampede upon the Calgary Stampede’s acceptance of the contestant’s entry. Contestant Agreement must be signed and received by the Calgary Stampede prior to end of established grace period with PROCOM entry to be accepted. 1.3 Order of judgement for rulings will be addressed in the following order of document precedence: 2023 Calgary Stampede Contestant Agreement, then 2023 Calgary Stampede Animal Care Code of Practice, then 2023 Calgary Stampede Ground Rules, then Rodeo Rules. RODEO RULES refers to the PRCA Rulebook that will be in effect for the bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, and tie-down roping events. 1.4 Contestants agree to abide by all posted premises rules and regulations of the Calgary Stampede. 1.5 The “Arena” includes the Rodeo Arena proper, the Bucking chutes, contestant walkway and the Timed-Event chutes and presentation area including
