TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a rerun is awarded for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals return back into the herd. QUALIFICATIONS: BB & SB - 48 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. BR - 60 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD, SW, TR - 80 minimum entries (or teams). No compensation. Two go-rounds, back-to-back. The first go-round of each back-to-back group will be run during slack each day. The contestants with the top ten fastest times from the first go- round will be placed in the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). The number of contestants placed in the performance will not exceed 10. If splits result in more than 10, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance and which will compete in the slack. The order of competition of ties from the first go-round will also be determined by random draw. If there are not 10 qualified times from the first go-round to fill the performance, the remaining positions will be filled by contestants based on the reverse order of their first go-round positions (only contestants who competed in the first go-round will be placed in the performance). TD, SW, TR – If a contestant (or team) qualifies for the finals at Nampa on July 22 or at Salt Lake City on July 24 and is placed in the morning slack at Ogden or Spanish Fork on one of those days, he will be allowed to compete on his second go-round animal immediately following the completion of the first go-round as long as he notifies the rodeo secretary prior to the stock draw for the second go-round. These contestants will compete first (and draw last) in the second go-round regardless of their first go-round times. The ten contestants with the fastest times not including the contestants who qualified for the finals at Nampa and Salt Lake City and request to be run first in the second go-round, will be placed in the performance following the procedures outlined in the previous ground rules.
