TD, SW - The number of animals used will be one half the number of entries plus adequate extras. TD, TR - Two go-rounds, with a finals (12). Back to-back, perf. to perf. or slack to slack. In the TD, since half enough calves are being used, the last “back-to-back” group of contestants will either compete in the slack prior to the 9th perf for their first go-round and during the 10th perf for their second go-round, or during the 9th perf for their first go-round and during the slack prior to the 10th perf for their second go-round. The top 30 that enter based on 2023 money won and the top 10 that enter from 2024 money won will be placed in the first 10 performances and will only be allowed to trade with contestants (or teams) placed in the 10 performances. These 40 contestants (or teams) will not be allowed to trade with contestants (or teams) placed in the slacks on April 2nd and 3rd. The remaining contestants (or teams) will be placed in the slacks on April 2nd and 3rd or any remaining available positions in the performances. Both go rounds of team roping for the teams placed in the slack will be run on Tues., April 2 in slack. SW - Two go-rounds, with a finals (12). Back-to back, perf to perf, slack to slack, (or slack to perf, or perf to slack for contestants placed in the 9th and 10th perfs and slacks prior to the perfs). The top 15 based on 2023 money won that enter and their buddy groups will be placed in the first 10 performances (buddy groups will not be split). The number of steers to be used will be one half of the number of contestants plus adequate extras. In SW, the top 15 from 2023 money won that enter and their buddy groups will only be allowed to trade with other contestants who were originally placed in the first 10 performances and the slacks prior to the 9th and 10th performances and will not be allowed to trade with contestants who were placed in the slacks on April 2nd and 3rd. The first go-round of each back-to-back group will be run during the afternoon slack on the day of the performance. The 12 fastest times from the first go-round will compete during the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). If splits result in more than 12, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance (will not exceed 12) and which will compete in slack. The competition order of ties
