RODEO COMMITTEE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AT LARGE AL GIRARD
Hello. My Name is Al Girard, and I am running for the At-Large position on the Rodeo Committee Executive Council. Many of you know me or may have seen me at a rodeo or the annual convention. I am passionate about rodeo and am committed to doing all I can to make rodeo better. I am currently the Director of Rodeo Operations for the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Rodeo, where I have served on the committee since 2004. I am also the Committee Representative on the Board of Directors for the California Circuit. I take these positions seriously and am very active and vocal about promoting rodeo and ensuring rodeo committees of all sizes have a voice. I have been involved in rodeo, in one capacity or another, for over thirty years. For the past ten years, I have been instrumental in increasing communication and cooperation amongst rodeos in California. It is now my goal to work with committees to enhance communication and cooperation throughout the Association. For my efforts, I was selected as the John Justin Spirit of the West Committeeman of the year in 2020, and in 2023 as the “Top Hand” in the California Circuit. Thank you, Al. GEORGE COMBS I would appreciate being elected to represent the “at-large” position on the PRCA Executive Council. I have over 36 years of experience in professional rodeo. With that experience and my dedication to the industry, I feel I would prove a valuable asset in supporting the rodeo committees. I have seen a lot of changes, both good and bad and feel that I can represent both large and small rodeos and facilitate changes that need to be accomplished for all rodeo committees. I believe I am well-respected in the industry and would provide leadership and valuable input. I have successfully served in this capacity before and would appreciate your vote in the upcoming election. DAVID PETTY I am honored to accept and continue to serve in the” At Large” position on the rodeo committee executive council. I believe in being a strong voice for all our rodeo committees small, medium and large. I feel one of the ways that we accomplish this is by appointing two strong members to our PRCA board of directors, assuring our committees have a strong voice in the board room. Our two representatives should vote in “unity” to support our committees and not “split” their votes in matters that directly concern rodeo committees. The current executive council is actively involved with our two board representatives in all matters concerning rodeo committees and rule proposals that affect how committees operate. With your vote, I look forward to continue serving and I encourage all rodeo committees to exercise their right to vote and return their ballot today CONTRACT PERSONNEL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL – CLOWNS/BULLFIGHTERS ROBERT “BLUE” JEANES I’m not a campaigner or a politician, so I’ll do my best here. When I became your rep, I only had one goal. That goal was to do my best to carry out the wishes of every card holding clown and bullfighter and represent each on equally to the best of my ability. We have been through a lot and I hope you feel I’ve done that. I have tried to ensure that every member is represented equally regardless of their status and the betterment of the entire group has been my focus. The Contract Personnel Council that I have been a part of has made huge strides for the betterment of all Contract Personnel. I’m very proud of the changes and progress our council has made. I’m proud of every single thing we have done and with your support, I will continue that progress. KELLY JENNINGS
