GROUND RULES: ALL EVENTS - The “30-hour replacement” policy will be in effect. See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Fri., Mar. 24 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. TRADE DEADLINE - Thurs., March 23 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and health papers. CONTESTANT PARKING - VIP contestant parking on east side of Foster Communications Coliseum. BB, SB, BR - Re-rides will be drawn for each performance and a pool which will be established by the stock contractor and approved by the event representatives for additional re-rides if needed. TE - All timed events, slack and performances will be held in the coliseum. TE - If a timed event animal escapes during a performance (or a re-run is given for any other reason), the extra will be used. Only escaped ALL CONTESTANTS - Free stalls 1st come 1st serve basis. RV hook-ups available on a limited basis. QUALIFICATIONS: BB & SB - 100 minimum entries. No compensation. W/F’s (12). $5000 held out for finals. No slack. BB - Possibility of two go-rounds depending on the number of entries. If two go-rounds, back-to-back, perf. to perf, W/F’s (12). BR - 120 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. W/F’s (12). $5000 held out for finals. EF’s $100 plus $100 DM if 1, $200 plus $100 DM ($50 each go-round) if 2. TD, SW, TR - 180 minimum entries. TD, SW - The number of calves used will be one half the number of entries plus adequate extras. TD, TR - Two go-rounds, with a finals(12). Back to-back, perf. to perf. or slack to slack. In the TD, since half enough calves are being used, the last “back-to-back” group of contestants will either compete in the slack prior to the 9th perf for their first go-round and during the 10th perf for their second go-round, or during the 9th perf for their first go-round and during the slack prior to the 10th perf for their second go-round. The top 30 that enter based on 2022 money won and the top 10 that enter from 2023 money won will be placed in the first 10 performances and will only be allowed to trade with contestants (or teams) placed in the 10 performances. These 40 contestants (or teams) will not be allowed to trade with contestants (or teams) placed in the slacks on March 28th and 29th. The remaining contestants (or teams) will be placed in the slacks on March 28th and 29th or any remaining available positions in the performances. SW - Two go-rounds, with a finals(12). Back-to back, perf to perf, slack to slack, (or perf to slack, or slack to perf for contestants placed in the 9th and 10th perfs and slack after). The top 15 based on 2022 money won that enter and their buddy groups will be placed in the first 10 performances (buddy groups will not be split). The remaining contestants will be placed in the slack on March 28th and 29th or any remaining available positions in the performances. The number of steers to be used will be one half of the number of contestants plus adequate extras. In SW, the top 15 from 2022 money won that enter and their buddy groups will only be allowed to trade with other contestants who were originally placed in the first 10 performances and the slacks after the 9th and 10th performances and will not be allowed to trade with contestants who were placed in the slacks on March 28th and 29th. If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the positions, the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled.
