GROUND RULES: ALL EVENTS - The “30-hour replacement” and “walk-up replacement” policies will be in effect. See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. The check in deadline for “walk-up” replacements will be at 12:00 PM on May 13. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Tue., May 9 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. ALL CONTESTANTS - A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at this event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event with a same performance conflict as this event. CHECK-IN DEADLINE - Contestants must check in with the rodeo secretary by 12:00 PM on May 13. Failure to check in will result in that contestant being replaced by the next available alternate. QUALIFICATIONS - 24 entries. The 2022 California Circuit Year End Saddle Bronc Champion and the 2022 California Circuit Finals Average Winner will be accepted. The remaining 22 positions will be filled based on PRCA World Standings. 60% from 2022 World Standings and 40% from 2023 World Standings as of 7 days prior to entry closing. FORMAT - There will be 4 brackets with 6 contestants in each bracket. Horses will be placed in each bracket by the event representative and a re-ride will be designated for each bracket. At 12:30 PM on the day of the event, the contestants will draw for positions 1-24 (1-6 will be the 1st bracket, 7-12 the 2nd bracket, 13-18 the 3rd bracket, and 19-24 the 4th bracket). Contestants will receive the animals that have already been designated for their corresponding drawn positions. The first-place winner of each bracket will advance to the Finals, for a total of 4 contestants. If there is a tie for 1st place within a bracket, a random draw by the judges will determine which contestant advances. If there are no qualified rides in a bracket, the contestant with the next highest score from the other brackets, who is not already advancing, will advance to the Finals. If there is a tie for the next highest score, a random draw will determine which of the tied contestants advances. PAYOFF - There will be $4,878 allotted to each of the 4 brackets (this amount may vary due to doctors released contestants who are not replaced or if less contestants than the limit enters the event). Each bracket will pay two places, 67% for first place and 33% for second place. If there are no qualified scores within a bracket, the $4,878 allotted for 1st place will be divided evenly among the other contestants in that bracket and will be considered ground money. There will be $32,000 allotted to the Finals. The Finals will pay 4 places: $12,800 for 1st place; $9,600 for 2nd place; $6,400 for 3rd; and $3,200 for 4th. If there are less qualified scores in the finals than there are places
