See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. ALL EVENTS - The “walk-up replacement” policy will be in effect. See Rodeo Entry Information section of the business journal. TRADE DEADLINE - Thurs., March 24 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and health papers. CONTESTANT PARKING - VIP contestant parking on east side of Foster Communications Coliseum. BB, SB, BR - Re-rides will be drawn for each performance and a pool which will be established by the stock contractor and approved by the event representatives for additional re-rides if needed. TE - All timed events, slack and performances will be held in the coliseum. TE - If a timed event animal escapes during a performance (or a re-run is given for any other reason), the extra will be used. Only escaped ALL CONTESTANTS - Free stalls 1st come; 1st serve basis. RV hook-ups available on a limited basis. QUALIFICATIONS: BB & SB - 100 minimum entries. No compensation. W/F’s (12). $5000 held out for finals. No slack. BB - Possibility of two go-rounds depending on the number of entries. If two go-rounds, back-to-back, perf. to perf, W/F’s (12). BR - 120 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. W/F’s (12). $5000 held out for finals. EF’s $100 plus $100 DM if 1, $200 plus $100 DM ($50 each go-round) if 2. TD, SW, TR - 180 minimum entries. TD, SW - The number of calves used will be one half the number of entries plus adequate extras. TD, TR - Two go-rounds, with a finals (12). Back- to-back, perf. to perf. or slack to slack. In the TD, since half enough calves are being used, the last “back-to-back” group of contestants will compete during the 9th performance for their 1st go-round and slack after the 10th performance for their 2nd go-round, or the slack after the 9th performance fir their 1st go-round and the 10th performance for their 2nd go-round. The top 30 that enter based on 2021 money won and the top 10 that enter from 2022 money won will be placed in the first 10 performances and will only be allowed to trade with contestants (or teams) placed in the 10 performances. These 40 contestants (or teams) will not be allowed to trade with contestants (or teams) placed in the slacks on March 29th and 30th. The remaining contestants (or teams) will be placed in the slacks on March 29th and 30th or any remaining available positions in the performances. SW - Two go-rounds, with a finals (12). GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. QUALIFICATIONS AND FORMAT: SB - 30 minimum entries. One go-round. 50% Permits, 25% top circuit, 25% random draw. No exemptions. BR - 40 minimum entries. One go-round. 50% Permits, 25% top circuit, 25% random draw. No exemptions. SB, BR - A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at this event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event during the same performance time frame as this event. CHECK-IN: Contestants must check in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES: The alternate list will be based on a random draw. Contestants may check in with the rodeo secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing, and stock will be drawn for the alternate contestant in accordance with the Walk- Up Replacement Policy. If a contestant turns-out (notified or non-notified) or VIR’s he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out in the Bull Riding and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR’s and VIR’s). If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. RE-RIDES: BR - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out (includes DR’s & VIR’s) will be used as re-rides prior to using the designated re-ride(s). SB - Designated re-rides will be used prior to using the turned- out animals as re-rides. PAYOFF: 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the payoff and sent in with the results. The payoff will be determined on the highest marked scores. NOTE: In order for money won at this event to count for the 2022 National Finals Rodeo or the 2022 Rookie of the Year Standings, during the 2022 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count for X-Bulls and X-Broncs Standings. It will not count for All Around, circuit standings, nor will the event count towards a contestant’s required circuit participation count. If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the positions, the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled. In the riding events, if an animal has already been drawn for a contestant who has turned- out, the replacement contestant will draw an animal from a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) and the first available designated re-ride. The deadline for “walk- up replacement” will be one hour prior to the performance. The alternate will compete on the animal that is drawn for the contestant he is replacing. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted on Mon., March 28 between 9 AM and 11 AM for any available positions. TRADE DEADLINE - Fri., March 25 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 24 minimum entries (12 per performance). No compensation. No slack. (See R1.2.15; R1.2.15.1; and R1.2.15.2 for qualifications). One go-round with the first and second place contestants each performance advancing to a bonus round during that same performance. If the first and/or second place contestant declines advancement to the bonus round, the contestant with the next highest score will advance (if the next highest score is tied, a flip of a coin will determine who advances). If there are 8 or less entries per performance at the time that the entries close, the committee has the option to cancel the event or have two go-rounds, back-to- back, same performance. If two go- rounds, the number of entries accepted during the re-entry period will not exceed one half the original limit. PAYOFF: The long go-round will be paid off per the rulebook. $1,000 per performance will be held out of the total purse for the bonus round(s).
