ALL CONTESTANTS - A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at this event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event during the same performance as the event. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn per the rulebook. The event will count towards the official rodeo count for any contestant that turns-out after stock callbacks, whether that contestant is replaced or not. PAY-OFF: 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with results. LEGACY STEER ROPING CLAREMORE OK NPP MAY 27 WILL ROGERS STAMPEDE LEGACY SR ARENA: Claremore Stampede Arena ADDRESS: 13601 E 480 Rd PERFS: 1 Perf: May 27-10:00 AM EVENTS: SR SPECIAL ENTRY FEES: SR-$300 PERMITS: SR GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old or a permit holder at the time of entry closing. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Claremore Steer Roping Event. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay entry fees of $300. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Claremore Steer Roping Event will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay- off. Only the four go-rounds and the average after four go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK. GROUND RULES: ALL CONTESTANTS - May also enter online at www.rodeocanada.com between May 8 at 8 AM and May 9 at 2 PM. GROUND RULES: SB, BB, BR QUALIFICATIONS - Maximum 36 based on: a) Top 18 blended CPRA/ PRCA standings, b) Top 8 unqualified from the 2023 CPRA standings, c) Top 8 blended CPRA/ PRCA standings as of May 12th, 2023. Remaining positions if any of the qualification categories are not filled by contestants with dollars won leaving open positions; the remaining openings will be filled by first the final 2022 CPRA standings, the 2022 PRCA standings, then a random draw of card holders, then semi-pro card holders. If there are still open positions, all remaining openings will be filled by random draw of permit holders. TURN OUT/ ALTERNATE PROCEDURE: Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry but were drawn out will be added to an alternate list. These contestants will be notified of any turn-outs or doctor releases and be given the option of re- entry up to 24 hours prior to rodeo turn out deadline, any turnouts done after the alternate time frame will be filled by walk up replacements only. If stock has already been drawn in the rough stock, they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock for that performance and all re- ride stock for the performance. WALK UP REPLACEMENTS: Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry but were drawn out may, in person, check with the rodeo secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, by random draw of all walk ups available, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing, in the rough stock they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock for that performance and all re-ride stock
