RED BLUFF, CALIF.: APRIL 17-19 The nation’s largest three-day rodeo is ready for its 99th trip around the sun. With more added money than ever, Red Bluff will be the third weekend in April. The bikini barrel race is Wednesday, April 15, and the Cowboy Mixer, Thursday. Friday morning, the annual cowboy golf tournament takes place before the evening performance. All three of those events are free to contestants. The tailgate party Saturday night features Texas country artist Casey Donahew Band with special guest Chancey Williams and the Younger Brother’s Band. Sunday’s performance has the Wild Ride, which pays four spots, including first place paying out $1,500 and a trophy saddle. HELOTES, TEXAS: APRIL 30 - MAY 2 The Helotes Festival Association Rodeo will award a 2-horse slant trailer to the Helotes Texas’ All-Around Cowboy plus champion buckles to each event winner, $25 gas certificates for each event

winner each night and additional gas cards distributed to contes- tants at random. There will be $3,300 in added money. Two sports chiropractors will be available nightly. A Special Needs Rodeo will be held Friday, May 1, and contestants are invited to help in the arena at 9:30 a.m. Great food, cold beer and sodas are provided in Sharron’s Corral, and a dance will be on the grounds each night. ELLENSBURG, WASH.: MAY 15-16 The Daily Record Bares and Broncs is part of the PRCA Xtreme Broncs Tour. In addition to $10,000 added in the bareback riding and saddle bronc riding, event winners will receive a unique buckle and a fly-fishing trip. Molly Morrow Photography will provide a photo from the event, and Julie Baugher Leather Design will laser engrave the photo onto a leather buckle. Also, event winners will receive a guided fly-fishing trip on the Yakima River from Red’s Fly Shop. Entries open April 24.

ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Mon., Mar. 2 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. TRADE DEADLINE - Fri., Feb. 28 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 80 minimum entries. May be two go-rounds back to back, same performance depending on the number of entries. If two go-rounds, the number of contestants accepted during the re-entry period will not exceed

one half the original limit. IN ORDER OF SELECTION : - 70% top money - 30% top circuit NOTIFY PROCOM : Notification must be made at the time of entry if claiming an exemption from qualification. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fees at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2019 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. Contestants claiming medical exemptions must have been injured at least six (6) months during the 2019 rodeo year.
