See Rodeo Entry Information Section of the Business Journal. RIDING EVENT TRADE DEADLINE - Fri., June 30 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. TIMED EVENT TRADE DEADLINE - Thur., July 6 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM . SR - Three go-rounds plus progressive. First three go-rounds held during slack July 12 at 7 AM. The top 32 (plus splits) advance to a progressive go-round held during the performances (8 per performance, slowest to fastest). Contestants in the progressive go-round may trade. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. (The misdraw procedure will not be used). Electric eye may be used and will judges have option to use a hand pulled barrier. $45 stock charge per go-round. Contestants who qualify for the progressive go round will be responsible to pay an additional $45 stock charge for the progressive go-round. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 48 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD, SW, TR - If there are not enough contestants in the current year circuit money won category to fill the allotted circuit positions, the remaining positions will be filled with contestants from the previous year circuit money won category. TR - 20-foot score with hand-pulled barrier. TD, SW, TR - 90 minimum entries (or teams). Two go-rounds. Back-to-back. The first go-round for each Back-to-back group will be run at 9 AM on the day of the performance. The committee will have the option of designating two contestants (or teams) to compete during the performance that night for their second go-round. This designation must be made by the committee through PROCOM by 5 PM the first business day after the first go round trade deadline. Also, the contestants with the top ten fastest times from the first go-round will be placed in the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). The number of contestants placed in the performance will not exceed 10, unless one or both of the committee designated contestants are not among the top 10 from the first go-round (in this case the maximum could be 11 or 12). If the committee designated contestants are among the top 10, they will assume their position based on their first go-round time. If they are not among the top 10, they will run first in the performance (if neither of the two designated contestants are among the top 10, they will run first and second based on the reverse order of their first go-round positions). If splits result in more than 10, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance and which will compete in the slack. The order of

contestants in order of the qualification process. Contestants will receive an email link to sign their Calgary Stampede Contestant Agreement. 3.2 Entry fees are $500.00 CDN per contestant. Fees are to be paid directly to the Calgary Stampede, which payment information will be provided to confirmed contestants. Fees must be paid in full prior to performance. 3.3 PRCA Office will produce draws for Go Round 1 and Go Round 2. All timed event animals for all rounds of competition will be selected by the Calgary Stampede Rodeo management. 4.0 FORMAT: Two complete go-rounds with the top 8 in the average after the first 2 go-rounds advancing to the Semifinals. The top 4 from the Semifinals will advance to the Showdown. 5.0 SCORELINE: Scoreline for Team Roping will be set at the length of the box minus 1 foot. 6.0 STOCK: Timed Event stock - Suitable numbered ear tags for all steers in the Team Roping shall be mandatory; no duplicate numbers are permitted. Steers must weigh a minimum of 180kg. Cattle used must comply with Calgary Stampede Animal Care codes, Government of Alberta livestock brand requirements, CFIA Regulations and deemed fit to compete by the Calgary Stampede Official Veterinarian. All timed event animals for all rounds of competition will be selected by the Calgary Stampede Rodeo management. In the case of a tie - Contestants so tied will compete on the pre set animals, as set by the designated OFFICIALS. Team Roping teams must take their stock within 45 seconds of receiving the all clear form the head judge or designee. If a team exceeds the time limit, except in the case of mechanical failure or a problem with the competition animal in the timed event chute in the opinion of the judges, each contestant in the run will each receive a $250 fine. For every 20 seconds overs the 45 second limit the fine will be progressively doubled. if a contestant(s) exceeds two minutes in the box it will result in disqualification from the round. 7.0 TIE-BREAKERS: If ties result in more than 8 to advance to the Semifinals, the team with the single fastest time in either of the first 2 go-rounds will advance. If ties in the Semifinals result in more than 4 to advance to the Showdown, the team with the highest ranking in the average prior to the Semifinals will advance. If still tied the team with the fastest single time from either of the first 2 go rounds will advance. 8.0 PAYOUTS AND PAYOUT PROCEDURE: 8.1 Total purse is $100,000 (Canadian Funds).($70,000 from added money, $30,000 from entry fees). 8.1.1 All monies earned at the Calgary Stampede Rocky Mountain Cup will count in the 2023 PRCA World Standings and PRCA All Around standings. NFR Playoff Series points will count towards 2023 NFR Playoff Series. 8.1.2 The Calgary Stampede will produce the rodeo payoff on July 20th. All prize money will be paid by direct deposit from the Calgary Stampede. This will require a direct deposit form to be filled out and emailed to the Calgary Stampede prior to July 1. 8.1.3 Any fines assessed to a contestant will be deducted from total payout at the conclusion of the event. If fines exceed amount the contestants have earned, the contestant will be responsible to pay directly to the Calgary Stampede. 9.0 Performance Rules: 9.1 Check-in & Accreditation Rocky Mountain Cup Contestants are required to attend a contestant meeting Wednesday, July 12 at 4:00pm (location TBA). 9.2 Association memberships, regardless of the association, will not grant the holder access to the Calgary Stampede. 9.3 Advertising, Sponsorship & Broadcast Rights 9.3.1 All advertising, sponsorship and broadcast

rights and the exposure related thereto lie with and are owned by the Calgary Stampede. 9.3.2 No contestant will have rights or access to the broadcast - either in whole or in part-produced at the 2023 Stampede. All footage remains the property of the Calgary Stampede and its licensed broadcast partners. If a contestant wishes to purchase video copies (for non-broadcast use) of his rides, a request must be submitted to the Calgary Stampede following the 2023 Stampede and all costs will be the responsibility of the contestant. 9.4 Warm-up space will be available in the Northern Lights Arena from 4:30pm - 6:30pm on July 12. Contestants cannot access the NWEC prior to performance. 9.5 Access to Stampede Grounds for Rocky Mountain Up Contestants will be via the 5A Gate (5th & 14th Ave SE). All contestants will park in designated Lot C on Stampede Grounds. 9.6 No stalling will be available on Stampede Park for Rocky Mountain Cup contestants. Options for off park stalling can be provided by the Calgary Stampede upon request. 10.0 PAYOUT 10.1 Team Roping payout (per man): The 1st and 2nd go-rounds will each pay 8 places: $2,127.50 for 1st,; $1,850 for 2nd; $1,572.50 for 3rd; $1,295 for 4th; $1,017.50 for 5th; $740 for 6th; $462.50 for 7th; and $185 for 8th for a total of $9,250 for each go-round. The Semi Finals will pay $1,000 for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th places. The Finals will pay $12,500 for 1st; $7,500 for 2nd; $5,000 for 3rd and $2,500 for 4th. Total: $100,000 payout ($50,000 per man).
