They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Wilson County Fair Association PRCA Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay entry fees of $200. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Wilson County Fair Association PRCA Rodeo will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the two go-rounds and the average after two go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK. QUALIFICIATIONS: Maximum 30 contestants based on top 100 blended CPRA/PRCA standings as of July 6, 2023 will be used to determine draw outs. If the qualifications are not filled by contestants with dollars won leaving open positions; the remaining openings will be filled by a random draw of card holders them semi-pro card holders. If there are still open positions, all remaining open positions will be filled by a random draw of permit holders. FORMAT - One go-round with a (top 8) finals. $12,500 held out for short go, 8 places paid in long go, 8 places paid in aggregate, 4 places paid in short go. FINALS - Top eight (8) will advance to finals. Top eight (8) will then pick their own finals stock out of pen of twelve (12). First (1st) place coming into the finals getting first pick down to eighth (8th). The remaining four (4) horses will be the finals re-rides. If there are not eight (8) qualified rides during the long go, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw. The eighth (8th) place is tied going into the finals, the tie will be broken by highest marked spur ride from the long go. Contestants who did not have qualified score in the first go round and are drawn back to compete in the finals, will not be eligible to place in the aggregate.
