They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Coleman PRCA Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay entry fees of $300. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Coleman PRCA Rodeo will be used to determine the pay- off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the three go-rounds and the average after three go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. GROUND RULES: ALL CONTESTANTS - May also enter online at www.rodeocanada.com between May 15 at 8 AM and May 16 at 2 PM. All Contestants: Re-entries, if needed, will be accepted for available positions 48 hours after entries close from 8am- 2pm. See Rodeo Entry Information on Rodeo Schedule. QUALIFICATIONS: Maximum 30 contestants based on top 100 blended CPRA/PRCA standing as of Monday 13,2024 will be used to determine draw outs. If the qualifications are not filled by contestants with dollars won leaving open positions; the remaining openings will be filled by a random draw of card holders then semi-pro card holders. If there are still open positions, all remaining openings will be filled by a random draw of permit holders. FORMAT: One go-round with a Top eight (8) will advance to finals. If there are not eight (8) qualified rides during the long go, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw. If the 8th place is tied going into the finals, the tie will be broken by highest marked spur ride from the long go, if still tied spots will be determined by random draw. PAYOUT: 50% of the total purse for the long go and 50% for the short go. Long Go will pay 8 places and Short Go will pay 4 places - 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%. There will be no average payout. TURN OUT/ALTERNATE PROCEDURE: Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry but were drawn out will be added to an alternate list. These contestants will be notified of any turn-outs or doctor releases and be given the option of re- entry up to 24 hours prior to rodeo turn out deadline, any turnouts done after the alternate time frame will be filled by walk up replacements only. If stock has already been drawn in the rough stock, they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock for that performance. Walk Up Replacements: Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry but were drawn out may, in person, check with the rodeo secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, by random draw of all walk ups available, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing, in the rough stock they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock for that performance.
