Any contestant who gives a notification (TO, VIR, DR, DO) without a valid doctor’s release or visible injury release will not be eligible to compete at the California Salinas Rodeo in 2024. Event representatives will have opportunity to review the stock lists prior to the stock draw. ALL EVENTS - If a contestant notifies a turn-out prior to the 30-hour deadline for his competition time, turn-out fines will be waived, if and only if he is replaced. SLACK ORDER - Order will be TD, SW, TR. TE - If there are not enough contestants in the current year circuit money won category to fill the allotted circuit positions, the remaining positions will be filled with contestants from the previous year circuit money won category. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a rerun is awarded for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. QUALIFICATIONS: BB & SB - 48 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. BR - 60 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD, SW , TR - 80 minimum entries (or teams). No compensation. Two go-rounds, back-to-back. The first go-round of each back-to-back group will be run during slack each day. The contestants with the top ten fastest times from the first go round will be placed in the performance (slowest time will run first, fastest time will run last). The number of contestants placed in the performance will not exceed 10. If splits result in more than 10, a random draw will determine which contestants will compete in the performance and which will compete in the slack. The order of competition of ties from the first go-round will also be determined by random draw. If there are not 10 qualified times from the first go-round to fill the performance, the remaining positions will be filled by contestants based on the reverse order of their first go- round positions (only contestants who competed in the first go-round will be placed in the performance). The top 32 who enter based on 2023 money won as of 7 days prior to entry closing will be accepted. No exemptions. TD, SW, TR - 150 entries. FORMAT: BB, SB, BR - One go-round with a Finals. The top two contestants based on highest scores from each of the first four performances will advance to the Finals (Gold Medal Round, 8 contestants in the finals). TD, SW, TR - Two complete go-rounds run in slack on July 10 and 11 at 8:00 AM each day. The location of the slack will be Day’ of 47’ Arena. The top 40 in the average after the first two go-rounds will advance to the progressive round (will not exceed 40) held during the first four performances (10 per performance). The top 2 contestants based on fastest times in that respective performance will advance to the Finals (Gold Medal Round). ALL EVENTS - If there are fewer than two qualified times or scores in a performance, the contestant with the next highest score or fastest time from the other performances will be contacted and offered the opportunity to advance. If that contestant does not accept the position, the contestant with the next highest score or fastest time will be contacted. This procedure will be followed until all positions in the finals are filled (will not exceed 8). If a contestant
