QUALIFICATIONS - Maximum 30 contestants based on top 100 blended CPRA/PRCA standings as of July 6, 2023 will be used to determine draw outs. If the qualifications are not filled by contestants with dollars won leaving open positions; the remaining openings will be filled by a random draw of card holders them semi-pro card holders. If there are still open positions, all remaining open positions will be filled by a random draw of permit holders. FORMAT - One go-round with a (top 8) finals. $12,500 held out for short go, 8 places paid in long go, 8 places paid in aggregate, 4 places paid in short go. FINALS - Top eight (8) will advance to finals. Top eight (8) will then pick their own finals stock out of pen of twelve (12). First (1st) place coming into the finals getting first pick down to eighth (8th). The remaining four (4) horses will be the finals re-rides. If there are not eight (8) qualified rides during the long go, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw. The eighth (8th) place is tied going into the finals, the tie will be broken by highest marked spur ride from the long go. Contestants who did not have qualified score in the first go round and are drawn back to compete in the finals, will not be eligible to place in the aggregate. TURN OUT/ALTERNATE PROCEDURE - Contestant who have originally entered and were eligible at the time of entry but were drawn out will be added to an alternate list. These contestants will be notified of any turn-outs or doctor releases and be given the option of re-entry up to 3 hours prior to rodeo turn-out deadline. If stock has already been drawn they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock and all re-ride stock for that performance. to be an alternate. If selected, by random draw of all walk-ups available, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing, in the rough stock they will draw from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock for that performance and all re-ride stock for that performance. RE-ENTRIES - Re-entries will be accepted where the actual entries accepted during the original entry period were less than the limit. Entries will be re opened sometime prior to the riding event stock draw. Contestants that enter during the re-entry period will be placed in the remaining available positions (available positions will be defined by the stock contractor and/ or committee based on the number of contestant that entered during the re-entry period). All re-entries will be accepted to fill the performance not to exceed the original limit defined in the ground ruled (based on “money won” qualifications). ***If a contestant notifies a turn-out, DR or visible release and is replaced by an alternate, the alternate contestant will be responsible for the entry fees. If the contestant that notified the turnout or visible release is not replaced by an alternate, they will be responsible for the entry fee. If a contestant properly doctor releases they will not be responsible for entry fees.*** In order for money won in the Hardgrass Bronc Match in Pollockville, AB to count for qualification for the 2023 National Finals Rodeo or the 2023 Rookie of the Year standings, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of 40 PRCA rodeos during the 2023 season. Money won at Pollockville will not count towards All-Around. Money won will also count towards X-Broncs standings. STK. LEGACY STEER ROPING FREDONIA KS NPP JULY 29 FREDONIA LEGACY STEER ROPING ARENA: Blankenship Arena ADDRESS: 7390 W Washington SLACK: July 29-8:00 AM EVENTS: SR PERMITS: None GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old or a permit member at the time of entry closing. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Wilson County Fair Association PRCA Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay entry fees of $200. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Wilson County Fair Association PRCA Rodeo will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the two go-rounds and the average after two go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All-Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK.
