three legs and a hooey. 8.1.2. Contestant causing a drag will result in a $500 fine and a no time. Anything over 3 feet is considered a drag whether intentional or unintentional 8.1.3. Jerk down rule: If a calf is jerked off all four feet and its body touches the ground prior to the roper reaching the calf, the roper will be disqualified from that go-round. 8.1.4. Legal catch: Any catch, other than a clean head catch, will result in the roper being disqualified from that go-round. 8.1.5. Obvious injury: If a calf, in the judge’s discretion, exhibits an obvious injury during competition, the contestant will be flagged out and receive either a re-run or if in the judge’s discretion, the injury was caused by the contestant, a no time. 8.1.6. Tie-Down Roping contestants must take their stock within 45 seconds of receiving the all clear from the head judge or designee. If a contestant exceeds the time limit, except in the case of mechanical failure or a problem with the competition animal in the timed event chute in the opinion of the judges, he will receive a $250 fine. For every 20 seconds over the 45 second limit the fine will be progressively doubled. If a contestant exceeds two minutes in the box it will result in disqualification from the round. 8.1.7. All other rules will be enforced as per the 2021 PRCA rulebook. 8.2. The Following Steer Wrestling rules will apply: 8.2.1. The steer must not be knocked down or thrown before it is brought to a stop and the catch is made. 8.2.2. An automatic no time will be given to a contestant if a steer “dog falls”. If a steer “dog falls”, the contestant must release the steer immediately and assist the animal in recovering from the fall by turning the steer’s head so it may stand up. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification from competition. OR If a steer dog falls, the contestant is to immediately allow and /or assist the steer back to his feet before completing the run with a flat fall. Failure to do so will result in the contestant being flagged out and receiving a no time. 8.2.3. Obvious injury: If a steer, in the judge’s discretion, exhibits an obvious injury during competition, the contestant will be flagged out and receive either a re-run or if in the judge’s discretion, the injury was caused by the contestant, a no time. 8.2.4. All hazers must be designated and check- in with the Calgary Stampede rodeo secretary’s office, prior to the performance to sign a (Non- Competitor) Release of Liability and obtain a hazing back number. 8.3. The pens of TDR and SW cattle for Showdown Sunday will be pre-set by designated OFFICIALS. Separate pens for the Semi- Finals (minimum of 12) and Showdown will be set. 8.4. In the Showdown a minimum of eight (8) TDR and SW animals will be set in drawn order of rotation of use in case of ties. 8.5. All timed event animals for all rounds of competition will be selected by the Calgary Stampede Rodeo management. 8.6. In the case of a tie in the Showdown - Contestants so tied will compete on the pre-set animals, as set by designated OFFICIALS, in

reverse order that they competed in the Showdown. 8.7. All other rules will be enforced as per the 2021 PRCA rulebook. 9. PAYOUTS AND PAYOUT PROCDURES: 9.1. Total Purse is $1,220,000 (Canadian Funds). 9.2. There are no entry fees. 9.3. Each competitor will earn a minimum $2,500.00 in Canadian Funds should they complete all qualified go rounds of competition (other than a doctor release.) Therefore, should a competitor’s earnings not total $2500.00 they will be paid the difference. 9.4. Pool A & B Go Round Payout (Days 1 - 8) $17,500 per event Go Round. (70% of the money won in Pools A and B will count towards 2021 PRCA World Standings). 1st - $5,500.00; 2nd - $4,500.00; 3rd - $3,500.00; 4th - $2,200.00; 5th - $1,500.00 9.5. Wild Card Saturday Payout (Day 9) $11,000 per event (70% of the money won in the Wild Card will count towards 2021 PRCA World Standings.) 1st - $4,500.00; 2nd - $3,500.00; 3rd - $2,000.00; 4th - $1,000.00 9.6. Semi-Finals and Showdown (Day 10) - $558,000 total payout - $93,000 per event 9.6.1. All contestants competing on Showdown Sunday will earn a cheque. All contestants competing in the Semi-Finals round and not advancing to the Showdown round will receive $3,000.00 each. (100% of the money won in the Semi Finals and the Showdown will count towards 2021 PRCA World Standings.) 1st - $50,000.00 Showdown; 2nd - $12,500.00 Showdown; 3rd - $7,500.00 Showdown; 4th - $5,000.00 Showdown. 10.6.2. When less than four contestants compete in Showdown there will be ground money paid in the Showdown round. 10.6.3. For purposes of payout and redistribution, Semi-Finals and Showdown are treated as separate go-rounds 10.6.4. Any contestants tied for money places will evenly split the place monies so tied. 10.6.5. All monies earned at the Calgary Stampede will count in the 2021 PRCA/WPRA World standings, except for ground money, the $2,500 appearance payment, and the 30% of the money won in Pool A and B and the Wild Card Round. 10.6.6. The Calgary Stampede will produce the rodeo payoff on July 21st. All prize money will be paid by direct deposit from the Calgary Stampede. This will require a direct deposit form to be filled out and emailed to the Calgary Stampede prior to July 2. 10.6.7. Any fines assessed to a contestant will be deducted from total payout at the conclusion of the event.
