TRADE DEADLINE - Thurs., April 28 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. STALLS - Limited stalls are available at Texas County Fairgrounds. First come, first served basis. Horses must be out of Texas County Fairgrounds first thing Friday morning. All rigs must be moved out of upper parking area (fan parking) at Henry C. Hitch Arena by noon on Friday. TD, SW, TR, SR - All slack will be held at the Henry C. Hitch Pioneer Arena. TD, SW, TR - Two complete go-rounds plus a top forty (40) progressive go- round plus splits held during the performances. First go-round held Wed., May 4 at 9 AM. Second go-round held Thur., May 5 at 9 AM. TD - Score may be the length of the box with TD representative approval. TR - Fresh muley cattle will be used, one animal per team plus adequate extras. The length of the score will be determined by the event representative after the herd is established (may be up to 20’). Hand pull barrier. All steers will be chute run (not drawn). Only two loops allowed. If a steer escapes the chute or arena, the extra will be used. Escaped animals go back into the herd and will be considered run. At the end of each go-round the extras and sleepers will have exhibition runs and will go back into the draw for the next go-round . SR - Four go-rounds. First and second go rounds held during slack Mon., May 2 at 12 PM. Third and fourth go-rounds held during slack Tues., May 3 at 9 AM. Only the first 3 steers in each go-round will be required to be run in order. Electric eye barrier will be used. Contestant may start from either box. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. (The misdraw procedure will not be used). All SR to be run in slack. $55 stock charge per go-round. QUALIFICATIONS: BB - 48 minimum entries. ALL CONTESTANTS - A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at this event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event with a same performance conflict as this event. CHECK-IN DEADLINE - Contestants must check in with the rodeo secretary by 12:00 PM on May 8. Failure to check in will result in that contestant being replaced by the next available alternate. QUALIFICATIONS: 24 entries. The 2021 California Circuit Year End Saddle Bronc Champion and the 2021 California Circuit Finals Average Winner will be accepted. The remaining 22 positions will be filled based on PRCA World Standings. 60% from 2021 World Standings and 40% from 2022 World Standings as of 7 days prior to entry closing. FORMAT - There will be 6 brackets with 4 contestants in each bracket. Horses will be placed in each bracket by the event representative and a re-ride will be designated for each bracket. At 12:30 PM on the day of the event, the contestants will draw for positions 1-24 (1-4 will be the 1st bracket, 5-8 the 2nd bracket, 9-12 the 3rd bracket, 13-16 the 4th bracket, 17-20 the 5th bracket, and 21-24 the 6th bracket). Contestants will receive the animals that have already been designated for their corresponding drawn positions. The first-place winner of each bracket will advance to the Finals, for a total of 6 contestants. If there is a tie for 1st place within a bracket, a random draw by the judges will determine which contestant advances. If there are no qualified rides in a bracket, the contestant with the next highest score from the other brackets, who is not already advancing, will advance to the Finals. If there is a tie for the next highest score, a random draw will determine which of the tied contestants advances. PAYOFF - There will be $3,252 allotted to each of the six brackets. Each bracket will pay one place (the amount may vary due to doctors releases that are not replaced or if less than the limit entered the event): $3,252 for 1st place. If there are no qualified scores within a bracket, the $3,252 allotted for 1st place will be divided evenly among the other contestants in that bracket and will be considered ground money. There will be $32,000 allotted to the Finals. The Finals will pay 4 places: $12,800 for 1st place; $9,600 for 2nd place; $6,400 for 3rd; and $3,200 for 4th. If there are less qualified scores in the finals than there are places to be paid, the remaining places will be paid based on highest scores in the first go-round. If there are no qualified rides in the Finals, all places will be paid based on highest scores in the first round. NOTE - All money paid out at this event (except for any ground money in the brackets) will count towards 2022 PRCA World Standings, 2022 XBroncs Standings, and the 2022 PRCA Rookie of the Year Standings as long as the contestant entered and competed at a minimum of 40 PRCA rodeos during the 2022 rodeo year. Money won at this event will not count towards All Around or Circuit Standings nor will the event be applied to a contestants required circuit participation count. STK. CONT.: VARIOUS
