No compensation. No slack. No exemptions. FORMAT: One go-round with a top 4 shoot-out round. CHECK-IN: The check-in deadline for alternates to be considered as “walk-up replacements” at this event is 1 hour prior to start of the event. ALL CONTESTANTS - If a contestant turns-out (notified or non-notified) or VIR’s he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn per the rulebook. The event will count towards the official rodeo count for any contestant that turns-out after stock callbacks, whether that contestant is replaced or not. RE-RIDES: After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF: BB, SB, BR : 6% of the total purse will be deducted prior to the pay- off. $5,000 will be held out for the shoot-out round. The shoot-out round will pay two places, $3,000 for first place, and $2,000 for second place, based on highest scores in the shoot-out round. If there are not 2 qualified scores in the shoot-out round, the remaining place(s) will be paid based on the highest scores in the first go- round. Only money paid out to a contestant without a qualified score in either go-round will be considered ground money. All other money paid out will count for PRCA World Standings. NOTE - In order for money won in this competition to count for the 2022 National Finals Rodeo or the 2022 Rookie of the Year standings, during the 2022 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count for the PRCA World standings. In all events money won will not count for All Around standings. Money won at this event will not count for circuit standings nor will the event be applied to the contestants required circuit participation count. Under no circumstances will a contestant who entered during the re- entry period be able to displace a contestant who entered during the original entry period. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. ALL CONTESTANTS - All contestants must complete a Participation Declaration. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and health papers. The 40 contestants or teams who entered and qualified for National Western Stock Show are not eligible to enter the qualifier. TD, SW, TR - Two go-rounds. The first go-round will be run on Sat., Dec. 18 at 8 AM. The second go-round will be run on Sun., Dec. 19 at 8 AM at the National Western Events Center located at 1515 E. 47th Avenue, Denver, CO. QUALIFICATIONS: TD - 145 minimum entries. TD, SW, TR - 40 qualifying contestants or teams from the qualifier will be placed in the performances at the Denver National Western Rodeo, along with the 40 contestants (or teams) already entered. The 40 qualifying contestants or teams will be top ten from the first go-round (plus splits), the top ten from the second go-round that have not already qualified from the first go- round (plus splits), and the remaining positions (not to exceed 40) will be filled from the fastest times in the average. If there are ties, the contestant (or team) with the single fastest time will fill the highest ranked position. If ties cannot be broken, all ties will be accepted. All 80 contestants (or teams) that qualify for the Denver National Western Rodeo will have a grace period to change preferences and/ or buddy groups on Tues., Dec. 21 between 8:30 AM and 2 PM. For a contestant to advance from the qualifier to the rodeo, his 2022 membership renewal must be current by Wed., December 22 at 2 PM. TD, SW - $30 stock charge for cards and permits. Payoff per rulebook. TR - $15 stock charge per man for cards and permits. Payoff per rulebook. TE - The qualifier and the National Western Rodeo performances will each count as separate rodeos.
