ALL EVENTS - If a contestant notified TO’s, VIR’s, VR, or DR his position in the finals will be filled by the available contestant with the fastest time in the same semi-final performance as the contestant that TO, VIR, VR, or DR that has not already advanced into the finals. The replacement contestant will be placed in the same finals position & draw as the contestant that is no longer competing. If no contestants are eligible to replace the non competing contestant within their same semi-final, their position will be filled by the contestant within their same semi-final, their position will be filled by the contestant with the fastest time from ANY semi final that has not already advanced. If there are no contestants eligible to replace the non-competing contestant from ANY semi- final, the position will be filled by the semi-final contestant with the highest ranking in the 2023 PRCA World Standings that has not already advances. This replacement process will be repeated until all positions in the finals have been filled. ALL CONTESTANTS - No contestant will be held past his bracket for any reason. PAYOFF: After the 6% is retained for the PRCA, 45% of the remaining amount will be allotted for the first two go-rounds (22.5% for each go-round) and each go-round will play 8 places. 30% will be allotted to the semi-finals (10% for each of the three semi-finals performances) and will each pay 4 places. 25% will be allotted to the finals which will pay 8 places. There will be no average payoff. If there are less qualified rides in the semi-finals than there are places to be paid, ground money will be paid to contestants who did have a qualified time (in accordance with R5.5.3). If there are less qualified rides in the finals than there are places to be paid, the remaining places will be paid to contestants with no score in the finals based on highest score in the semi-finals. All money paid out for the semi-finals and the finals will count towards PRCA World Standings. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. ALL EVENTS - The “walk-up replacement” policy will be in effect. The deadline for “walk up replacement” will be two hours prior to the performance. The alternate will compete on the animal that is drawn for the contestant the he is replacing. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted on Mon., Jan. 8 between 9 AM and 11 AM for any available positions. TRADE DEADLINE - Fri., Jan. 5 at 4 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties confirm through PROCOM. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 24 minimum entries (12 per performance). No compensation. No slack. (See R1.2.15; R1.2.15.1; and R1.2.15.2 for qualifications). One go-round with the first and second place contestants each performance advancing to a bonus round during that same performance. If the first and/or second place contestant declines advancement to the bonus round, the contestant with the next highest score will advance (if the next highest score is tied, a flip of a coin will determine who advances). If there are 8 or less entries per performance at the time that the entries close, the committee has the option to cancel the event or have two go-rounds, back- to back, same performance. If two go- rounds, the number of entries during the re-entry period will not exceed one half the original limit. PAY-OFF: The long go-round will be paid off per the rulebook. $1,000 per performance will be held out of the total purse for the bonus round(s). Winner takes all in the bonus round(s). There will be no pay-off for the average. If there are no qualified rides in an event in the bonus round, $500 (of the $1,000) will be added back to the pay-off for the long go-round, and $500 will be split between the two qualifiers for the bonus round and will be considered ground money. RE-RIDES - Re-rides and the re-ride order will be designated by the stock contractor. Any animal turned-out in a performance will automatically become the first re-ride prior to using the designated re-rides. If more than one animal is turned-out in a performance, a random draw will determine which animal will be the first re-ride. The bonus round stock will be designated by the stock contractor. NOTE: In order for money won at this event to count for qualifying for the 2024 National Finals Rodeo or the 2024 Rookie of the Year Standings,

a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos during the 2024 rodeo year. Money won at this event will not count for All Around Standings, circuit standings, nor will this event be applied to a contestant’s circuit participation count. STK. ALL EVENTS - There will be an extended grace period for the entries for San Antonio on Mon., Jan. 15, which is the first business day after the qualifier, from 8:30AM to 4PM for contestants to change preferences and buddy groups at San Antonio. At this time, team ropers will also be allowed to designate or change partners. TIMED EVENT TRADE DEADLINE - Thurs., Jan. 4 at 4 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must sign a release of liability with the secretary before competing in this rodeo. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - In-state origin and out-of-state origin: All horses must have proof of current health papers issued within 30 days and a negative Coggins Test within the previous 12 months. Health papers for any horse must not expire while horse is on grounds. ALL CONTESTANTS - Stalls and RV hookups will be available for rent on a first come, first serve basis. Contestants who are among the top 35 based on 2023 money won, the top 5 based on 2024 money won, or who have already been accepted as entries at the San Antonio Rodeo will not be accepted as entries at the Uvalde Qualifier. The top 45 based on 2023 money won who enter will be accepted and the top 5 based on 2024 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closing) who enter will be accepted. There will be three complete go-rounds occurring on January 12 in Uvalde, TX at the Uvalde County Fairplex located at 215 Veterans Lane, Uvalde, TX. Three complete go-rounds will all be run on Friday, January 12 at 9:00 AM. The Champion buckle will be awarded during the performance on Friday night, January 12 at 7:00 PM. Extras will be used to replace any sick or injured animals. The misdraw procedure will not be used. Stock charge - $60 per go-round. The payoff will be in accordance with the PRCA Rule Book.
