See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. TRADE DEADLINE - Mon., Jan. 27 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. ALL CONTESTANTS - The San Angelo Rodeo in San Angelo will be a qualifying event for a position in each event at the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo. ALL CONTESTANTS - This is a qualifying event for the semi-finals for The American. Contestants must designate this rodeo as a qualifying event at the time on entry to be valid. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and health papers. CONTESTANT PARKING - VIP contestant parking on east side of Foster Communications Coliseum. ALL EVENTS - Back numbers will be required to be worn during performances. ALL EVENTS - “No conflict” will be guaranteed between positions at San Antonio and San Angelo if possible. As long as the contestant does not create the conflict by requesting conflicting preferences. A contestants should not use the “No Same Day” preference in this instance unless he wants the possibility of being drawn out. BB, SB, BR - Re-rides will be drawn for each performance and a pool which will be established by the stock contractor and approved by the event representatives for additional re-rides if needed. TE - All timed events, slack and performances will be held in the coliseum. TE - If a timed event animal escapes during a performance (or a re-run is given for any other reason), the extra will be used. Only escaped ALL CONTESTANTS - Free stalls 1st come, 1st serve basis. RV hook-ups available on a limited basis. QUALIFICATIONS: BB & SB - 100 minimum entries. No compensation. W/F’s (12). $5000 held out for finals. No slack. BB - Possibility of two go-rounds depending on the number of entries. If two go-rounds, back to back, perf. to perf. BR - 120 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. W/F’s (12). $5000 held out for finals. EF’s $100 plus $100 DM if 1, $200 plus $100 DM ($50 each go-round) if 2. TD, SW - 180 minimum entries. TR - 140 minimum entries. NOTIFY PROCOM - Notification must be made at the time of entry if claiming an exemption from qualification. Anyone claiming an exemption must have entered and paid fees at a minimum of twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2019 rodeo year, unless the contestant qualifies for a medical exemption. Contestants claiming medical exemptions must have been injured at least six (6) months during the 2019 rodeo year. Contestant must not have entered and paid fees at more than twenty (20) PRCA sanctioned rodeos held during the 2019 rodeo year. A letter from a licensed physician on doctor’s letterhead bearing the doctor’s name, address and phone number must be received by the PRCA Nation Office prior to entry opening. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at the X-Bulls Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls event. CHECK-IN - Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES - Alternates will be selected from a list established by PROCOM based on 2019 money won. (Only contestants who were drawn out due to qualifications or conflicts will be selected as alternates). A contestant who is place in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the Xtreme Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant notifies a turn-out or a VIR and is replaced by an alternate, the alternate contestant will be responsible for the entry fees. The rodeo will not count toward the official rodeo count for the turned-out contestant. If a contestant turns-out (notified or non- notified) or VIR’s he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out of an X-Bulls event and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR’s and VIR’s). If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. RE-RIDES - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used as re-rides prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF - 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with results. The pay-off will be determined on the highest marked scores. NOTE - In order to money won in Xtreme Bulls Competition (including Division 2 qualifying events) to count for the 2020 National Finals Rodeo or the 2020 Rookie of the Year Standings, during the 2020 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count for PRCA World Standings and Xtreme Bulls Standings. It will not count for All Around standings, circuit standings or towards a circuit rodeo count. The remainder of contestants will be placed in the 9th and 10th performances, the slacks after the 9th and 10th and the slacks on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4, or any of the other 8 remaining performances that do not fill to at least 10 per performance. The number of steers will be one half the number of contestants plus adequate extras. In SW, contestants who were originally placed in the first 8 performances, will only be allowed to trade with other contestants who were originally placed in the first 8 performances, and contestants who were placed in the slacks or the 9th and 10 performances, will only be allowed to trade with contestants who were placed in the slacks or the 9th and 10th performances. TR - Only two loops allowed. TE - No extras will be run during the performances. ALL CONTESTANTS - If a contestant who qualifies for the finals notifies a turn-out, doctor’s release or visible injury release through PROCOM, the contestant with the next highest ranking in the average may be placed in that available position. (Non-notified TO’s and VIR’s after the turn-out deadline will not be replaced). If the next highest ranked contestant is not available to accept the positions, the next highest ranked contestant may be contacted and placed in that position. This procedure will be followed until all positions are filled. In the riding events, if an animal has already been drawn for a contestant who has turned- out, the replacement contestant will draw an animal form a pool consisting of all animals that have been turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) and the first available designated re-ride.
