PINE CITY, MINN.: SEPT. 1-3 Pine City Championship Rodeo will be hosting a hospitality room on the rodeo grounds for all contestants and one companion before the rodeo each day. Event winners will receive handcrafted Maynard trophy buckles. All participating Rough Stock contestants receive a $50 gasoline gift card. In addition, each night we will draw a bonus bull, saddle and bareback bronc if the cowboy has a qualified ride on the bonus bull or bronc they will receive a $500 cash bonus. The alternate list for this event will be based on 2023 Xbulls standings as of Aug. 28, 2023. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Wed., Aug. 30 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 40 minimum entries. One go-round with top 12 finals (will not exceed 12). If there are not 12 qualified rides, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw. If the 12th contestant is tied going into the final round, the tie will be broken by the back judge. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to finals. QUALIFICATIONS: - 100% 2023 X-bulls standings as of Aug. 28, 2023. No exemptions. If a contestant is placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event that conflicts (same day as) with the Ellensburg XBulls event, he can be drawn out of the conflicting rodeo as long as he notifies PROCOM by

FORMAT: ALL EVENTS - The Finale will be two go-rounds, back-to-back, performance to performance, with a top eight semi-finals followed by a top four finals. Contestants will be placed in the first four performances based on their pay-off series points standings. The following number rankings in the Playoff Series Standings will correspond with only the contestants who actually enter the Finale (for example, if the #1 ranked contestant does not enter and the #2 ranked contestant does enter, the #2 ranked contestant will assume the position as the #1 ranked contestant). If there is a tie for any of the rankings, a random draw by PROCOM will determine where each of the tied contestants will be placed. The #13 position in all events will be occupied by the qualifier from the NFR Open in Colorado Springs. The contestants placed in the first and second performances will be the contestants who correspond with the following rankings: #2, #3, #6, #7, #10, #11, #14, #15, #18, #19, #22, and #23. The contestants placed in the third and fourth performances will be the contestants who correspond with the following rankings: #1, #4, #5, #8, #9, #12, #13, #16, #17, #20, #21, and #24. The lowest ranked contestants (based on these rankings) will compete first, and the highest ranked contestants will compete last for the first go-round. The team will be placed in the position that corresponds with the highest ranked partner of the team using the same placement procedure as used for the other events. The #13 position in the Team Roping event will be occupied by the qualifying team from the NFR Open (or the highest ranked partner of the qualifying team from the NFR Open if the two team partners are roping with different qualified partners at this event). If a contestant’s partner is drawn out due to qualification, that header or heeler will be randomly drawn a partner by PROCOM from among the other heelers or headers whose partners were drawn out due to qualification.
