LEGACY STEER ROPING STEPHENVILLE TX NPP SEPTEMBER 22-24 STEPHENVILLE LEGACY STEER ROPING ARENA: Lone Star Arena ADDRESS: 4696 N US Hwy 377 PERFS: 3 Perfs: September 22-7:00 PM; September 23-7:00 PM; September 24-2:00 PM SLACK: September 21-9:00 AM EVENTS: SR PERMITS: SR GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old at the time of entry closing or a permit member. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Stephenville PRCA Rodeo. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been a NFSR qualifier during the past 3 years. Permit members of all ages are eligible to be accepted. ALL CONTESTANTS - Contestants will pay an additional entry fee of $300. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Stephenville PRCA Rodeo will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay- off. Only the three go-rounds and the average after three go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. ALL CONTESTANTS - Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. GROUND RULES: The 2023 Montana Circuit Steer Roping Finals cut-off will be Aug. 23, 2023. Any rodeo ending on or before this date will count towards the 2023 rodeo season. Any rodeo ending after this will count toward the 2024 rodeo season. ALL CONTESTANTS - Total money above includes a minimum of $10,000 committee purse, estimated sponsor dollars of $4,000, estimated PRCA matching funds of $4,000, and estimated $3 amount of TBD. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Tues., Sept. 12 between 9 AM and 11 AM. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted if the number of entries for an event at the original entry closing time is less than limit defined in the ground rules. If more contestants enter during the “re-entry” period than there are positions available, the contestants accepted will be based on the qualification procedures defined in the Circuit Finals ground rules. Under no circumstances will a contestant who entered during the re-entry period be able to displace a contestant who entered during the original entry period. If a contestant TO’s or DR’S prior to the “re-entry” period, that position may be filled during the “re-entry” period . SR - Top 12. Five go-rounds. Entry fees $500.
