contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES: Alternates will be selected based on 2022 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closings). Contestants who are placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event that conflicts with the Xtreme Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant turns-out (notified or non- notified) or VIR’s he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out of an X-Bulls event and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR’s and VIR’s). If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. RE-RIDES - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that have been notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF: 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with the results. Pay-off will be determined on highest marked scores. ALL PERCENTAGES WILL BE DIVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULEBOOK. NOTE: In order for money won in Xtreme Bulls competition to count for the 2022 National Finals Rodeo or the 2022 Rookie of the Year Standings, during the 2022 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count towards 2023 Xtreme Bulls Standings. It will not count All Around, circuit standings, nor will it count towards a contestant’s required participation count. Contestants must enter Houston through PROCOM to be accepted. If co-champions exist, only one entry will be accepted as an entry at Houston. The tied contestant with the highest ranking in the 2022 PRCA World Standings will be accepted for the position at Houston. In the Team Roping, if co-champions exist, only one header and one heeler will be accepted. the tied header and the tied heeler with the highest ranking in the 2022 PRCA World Standings will be accepted as an entry for Houston even if that qualified header and heeler were not partners at the qualifying rodeo(s). If the same contestant (or team) is the champion at both qualifying rodeos, he will be accepted as the champion of one of the qualifying rodeos and the position reserved for the champions of the other qualifying rodeo will be filled by the next highest ranked contestant who enters based on 2022 PRCA World Standings. ATTENTION: The top six money winners in the steer roping event from the Bellville, TX, Hempstead, TX, and Edna, TX (combined total money) who enter and who have not already been accepted as entries among the top 24 who entered the San Angelo Roping Fiesta, based on 2022 PRCA World Steer Roping Standings, will be accepted as entries at the San Angelo Roping Fiesta. if ties result in more than six to advance, the tied contestant with the highest ranking in the 2022 World Standings will advance. GB - Approved for first slack event in accordance with R4.9.4. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH HORSES - Must have proof of current Coggins Test and Health papers . SR - Three go-rounds. The check-in deadline for this event will be one hour prior to the performance. ALL CONTESTANT - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Mon., Sept. 26 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 40 minimum entries. One go-round with top 12 finals (will not exceed 12). If there are not 12 qualified rides, all remaining positions will be filled by random draw (by the judges). If the 12th contestant is tied going into final round the tie will be broken by the back judge. If he cannot break the tie, all tied contestants will draw chips to see who advances to the finals. If less than 30 entries, will be two go-rounds with no finals. QUALIFICATIONS: - 70% top money - 30% top circuit. No exemptions. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X-Bulls event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls event. CHECK-IN: Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete.
