TRADE DEADLINE - Thur., Sept. 29 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed each immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. ALL CONTESTANTS - All contestants must wear back numbers while competing. LIABILITY RELEASE - All contestants are required to sign a release of waiver of liability agreement. PARKING - Each vehicle will be charged a $15 fee. A free parking permit will be given at the Rodeo Office. The $15 parking fee will be reimbursed at the Exhibitor Window of the Cow Palace Ticket office for entered contestant with a parking receipt. RE - Back-to-back, perf to perf, if two go-rounds B15.2.5. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 30 minimum entries. No compensation. No slack. TD - There will be a disqualification for a jerk down as long as all criteria are in compliance with the jerk down policy. STK. QUALIFICATIONS: The top 10 permit members (which includes any contestant who was a permit member for any part of the 2022 rodeo season) in each event, who enter based on 2022 money won as a permit member, will be accepted. Any contestant who is ranked in the top 30 of 2022 PRCA world standings as of Sept. 12, 2022, in his respective event will not be eligible to be accepted as an entry for the Waco permit finals. In the Team Roping, the top 10 headers, based on 2022 money won as a permit member while competing as a header, and he top 10 heelers, based on money won as a permit member while competing as a heeler, will be accepted. This includes any contestant who was a permit member for any part of the 2022 rodeo season. The top 10 headers who enter must rope with the top 10 heelers who enter. GROUND RULES: ALL CONTESTANTS - The 30 hour and walk-up replacement policies will be in effect. The check-in deadline for this event will be one hour prior to the performance. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Tues., Oct. 4 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 40 minimum entries. One go-round (may be two go-rounds, back-to-back, same performance, or one go-round with a short go depending on the number of entries). If two go-rounds, the number of entries accepted during the re-entry period will not exceed one half the original limit. QUALIFICATIONS: - 70% top money - 30% top circuit. No exemptions. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X-Bulls event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event that conflicts with the X-Bulls event. CHECK-IN: Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES: Alternates will be selected from a list established by PROCOM based on 2022 money won, as of 7 days prior to entry closing. Contestants who are placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event that conflicts with the X-Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. Contestants may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the perf to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant turns-out (notified or non- notified) or VIR’s he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out of an X-Bulls event and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR’s and VIR’s). If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. RE-RIDES: After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF: 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with the results. The pay-off will be determined on the highest marked scores. ALL PERCENTAGES WILL BE DIVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULEBOOK. NOTE: In order for money won in Xtreme Bulls competition to count for the 2023 National Finals Rodeo or the 2023 Rookie of the Year Standings, during the 2023 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count towards 2023 Xtreme Bulls standings. It will not count for All Around standings, and circuit standings or towards a circuit rodeo count. qualifications, a partner will be randomly drawn for him from among the other contestants whose partners were drawn out due to qualifications. The top 5 contestants or teams based on rankings in the average at this rodeo will be accepted as entries at the Permit Challenge in Las Vegas on Dec. 1, 2022. These contestants will be required to enter the Las Vegas Permit Challenge through PROCOM during the specified time period. If any of these contestants choose not to enter due to injury or any other reason, the next highest ranked contestant or team in the average from the Waco Permit Finals who enters will be accepted. If ties in the average result in more than 5 contestants or teams to advance to the to the Las Vegas Permit Challenge, the contestant or team with the single fastest time or highest score in any go-round will advance (will not exceed 5 contestants or teams). If still tied, the contestant or team with the 2nd fastest time or highest score will advance. If still tied, the contestant with the highest ranking in the Permit Standings will advance (In the team roping, the header or heeler with the most money won in the Permit Standings and his partner will advance.) FORMAT: 3 go-rounds. PAYOFF: Go rounds and average will pay 4 places. Money won at this event will not count towards World Standings or Circuit Standings. It will count towards 2023 money won qualifications. ALL CONTESTANTS - Must sign the PRCA/WPRA Release and Waiver and Choice of Venue form prior to competition. BB, SB, BR RE-RIDES - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that were notified as turn outs, will be used prior to using the designated re-rides. ALL CONTESTANTS WITH ANIMALS - All Texas Animal Health Commission requirements must be followed. Current Coggins Test within the last 12 months. Out of state competitors should refer to TAHC for current requirements. ALL CONTESTANTS - Are required to wear a provided back number which must be worn and displayed in its entirety at all times in the competition arena. TE - If a timed event animal escapes or a re-run is given for any other reason, the extra will be used. Only escaped animals go back into the herd. LIVESTOCK - Stock must be inspected by the Livestock Superintendent at the time of arrival and must be accompanied by current certified veterinary health papers and certificates as required by Texas Law. Sore, lame, sick, or injured animals will not be accepted, and payment will not be issued for these animals. This includes any animal with a wound that, in the PRCA judge’s discretion, is cosmetically questionable. Bred mares in late term of pregnancy or mares with colts will not be accepted. All bulls’ horns must be tipped per PRCA rules. All livestock must have an ownership brand identification brand in compliance with the PRCA Rule Book.
