ALL CONTESTANTS - The “30-hour” and “walk-up” replacement policies will be in effect. The check-in deadline for this event will be one hour prior to the performance. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Tues., Oct. 18 between 9 AM and 11 AM. See Rodeo Entry Information page of the business journal. GRACE PERIOD - Will expire one hour after entries close. COMPETITION FORMAT - 40 minimum entries. May be two go-rounds, back-to-back, same performance, depending on the number of entries. If two go-rounds, the number of entries accepted during the re-entry period will not exceed one half the original limit. QUALIFICATION: 50% top first year, 25% permits, 25% random draw. No exemptions. A contestant will not be accepted as an entry at an X-Bulls Event if he is already placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event on the same day as the X-Bulls Event. CHECK-IN: Contestants must check-in or notify arena secretary 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Failure to do so will result in an alternate contestant being selected and allowed to compete. ALTERNATES: Alternates will be selected based on 2022 money won (as of 7 days prior to entry closings). Contestants who are placed in a position at another PRCA rodeo or event that conflicts with the Xtreme Bulls Event will not be eligible to be used as an alternate. Contestants may check-in with or call the venue secretary no later than 1 hour prior to the performance to confirm their availability and desire to be an alternate. If selected, an alternate will assume the competition position of the contestant that he is replacing and if stock has been drawn, he will receive the stock drawn by that contestant. If a contestant turns-out (notified or non- notified) or VIR’s he will be responsible to pay entry fees whether he is replaced or not. The alternate contestant will also be responsible to pay entry fees. Also, if a contestant turns-out of an X-Bulls event and is not replaced, he will receive a $250 fine (does not include DR’s and VIR’s). If a contestant properly doctor releases he will not be responsible for entry fees nor will the event be applied to his official rodeo count. RE-RIDES - After all replacements have been made, any remaining available animals that have been notified as turned-out (includes DR’s and VIR’s) will be used prior to using the designated re-ride(s). PAY-OFF: 6% of the total purse is to be deducted prior to the pay-off and sent in with the results. Pay-off will be determined on highest marked scores. ALL PERCENTAGES WILL BE DIVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULEBOOK. NOTE: In order for money won in Xtreme Bulls competition to count for the 2023 National Finals
Rodeo or the 2023 Rookie of the Year Standings, during the 2023 season, a contestant must have entered and competed at a minimum of forty (40) PRCA rodeos. Money won will count towards 2023 Xtreme Bulls Standings. It will not count All Around, circuit standings, nor will it count towards a contestant’s required participation count.. Any rodeo ending on or before this date will count toward the 2022 rodeo season. Any rodeo ending after this will count toward the 2023 rodeo season. All events plus year-end circuit dollars. Total money above includes the committee purse of $3,000, estimated PRCA matching funds of $3,000, estimated sponsor money of $9,756 and estimated $3 fund of TBD. ALL CONTESTANTS - Re-entries will be accepted for available positions on Thurs., Oct. 6 between 9 AM and 12 PM. Re-entries will be accepted if the number of entries for an event at the original entry closing time is less than limit defined in the ground rules. If more contestants enter during the “re-entry” period than there are positions available, the contestants accepted will be based on the qualification procedures defined in the Circuit Finals ground rules. Under no circumstances will a contestant who entered during the re- entry period be able to displace a contestant who entered during the original entry period. If a contestant TO’s or DR’s prior to the “re-entry” period, that position may be filled during the “re-entry” period. TE - If a timed event animal escapes, the extra will be used. ALL CONTESTANTS - Contestants are required to check-in between 2 and 4 PM Friday., October 21st. ALL EVENTS - Go-rounds and average will pay four places. QUALIFICATIONS: Top 12. The deadline for “walk up replacement” will be one hour prior to the performance. The alternate list will be based on 2022 PRCA World Standings. The alternate will compete on the animal that is drawn for the contestant that he is replacing. ALL EVENTS - Re-entries will be accepted on Thurs., October 20 between 9 AM and 12 PM for any available positions. TRADE DEADLINE - Wed., Oct. 19 at 5 PM. All confirmed trades will be final and will be processed immediately after both involved parties have confirmed through PROCOM. QUALIFICATIONS: BB, SB, BR - 36 minimum entries (12 per performance). No compensation. No slack. Qualifications will be 70% from 2022 PRCA World Standings, 20% from 2022 Circuit Standings, and 10% random draw. One go- round with the first and second place contestants each performance advancing to a bonus round during that same performance. If the first and/or second place contestant declines advancement to the bonus round, the contestant with the next highest score will advance (if the next highest score is tied, a flip of a coin will determine who advances). If there are 8 or less entries per performance at the time that the entries close, the committee has the option to cancel the event or have two go-rounds, back to back, same performance. PAY-OFF: The long go-round will be paid off per the rulebook. $1,000 per performance will be held out of the total purse for the bonus round(s). Winner takes all in the bonus round(s). If there are no qualified rides in an event in the bonus round, $500 (of the $1,000) will be added back to the pay- off for the long go-round, and $500 will be split between the two qualifiers for the bonus round and will be considered ground money. STOCK DRAW: Stock will be drawn 3 hours prior to each performance by the judges. Re-rides and the re-ride order will be designated by the stock contractor. Any animal turned-out in a performance will automatically become the first re-ride prior to using the designated re-rides. If more than one animal is turned-out in a performance, a random draw will determine which animal will be the first re-ride. The bonus round stock will be designated by the stock contractor and no re-rides will be given during the bonus round. In order for money won at this event to count for qualifying for the
