ATTENTION: The top six money winners in the steer roping event from the Bellville, TX, Edna, TX, Rapid City, SD (combined total money) who enter and who have not already been accepted as entries among the top 24 who entered the San Angelo Roping Fiesta, based on 2023 PRCA World Steer Roping Standings, will be accepted as entries at the San Angelo Roping Fiesta. If ties result in more than six to advance, the tied contestant with the highest ranking in the 2023 World Standings will advance. NOTE - Contestants are required to compete at a minimum of 15 PRCA rodeos for the money won at this event to count towards 2024 PRCA World Standings or 2024 Rookie of the Year Standings. Money will count towards circuit standings and this event will be applied towards the contestant’s required circuit participation count. Money won at this event will not count towards All Around Standings. STK. LEGACY STEER ROPING EDNA TX NPP SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 1 SOUTH TEXAS CLASSIC BUSTIN LEGACY SR ARENA: Brackenridge Main Event ADDRESS: 284 Brackenridge Parkway SLACK: September 30-9:00 AM; September 30 6:00 PM; October 1-9:00 AM EVENTS: SR SPECIAL ENTRY FEES: SR-$400 PERMITS: SR GROUND RULES: Contestants who choose to enter the Legacy Steer Roping event must be at least 50 years old at the time of entry closing or a permit member. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the South Texas Classic Steer Roping Event. To be eligible, the contestant must have not been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. Contestants will pay an additional entry fee of $400. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the South Texas Classic Steer Roping Event will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the four go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. ALL CONTESTANTS - Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, Circuit Standings, All Around Standings, money won qualifications, or Permit Standings. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK. SR - Three go-rounds. Electric eye barrier may be used. Extras will be used to replace sick or injured animals. The misdraw procedure will not be used. Stock charge is $60 per go round Contestants are required to compete in the steer roping event at a minimum of 15 rodeos in the steer roping event for the money won at this event to count towards 2024 PRCA World Standings or the 2024 Rookie of the Year Standings.
