GAIL TX NPP OCTOBER 21-22 GAIL MOUNTAIN CLASSIC STEER ROPING ARENA: Borden County Arena ADDRESS: 127 Willow Valley Road EVENTS: SR @ $5000 SPECIAL ENTRY FEES: SR-$450 PERMITS: SR GROUND RULES: CO-APPROVED WITH THE TURQUOISE CIRCUIT. SR - 4 go-rounds. 2 go-rounds each day. Only the first 3 steers in each go-round will be required to run in order. Extra will be used to replace sick or injured animals. The misdraw procedure will not be used. $60 stock charge per go-round. NOTE - Money won at this event will count towards qualification for the 2024 National Finals Rodeo or the 2024 Rookie of the Year standings as long as the contestant competes at a minimum of 15 PRCA rodeos in the Steer Roping event during the 2024 rodeo year. Money won at this event will not count towards All Around standings. It will count towards circuit standings and the event will be applied to a contestant’s required circuit participation count. STK. They must also be entered in the steer roping event at the Gail Mountain Classic Steer Roping Event. To be eligible, the contestant must not have been an NFSR qualifier during the past three years. Permit members of all ages will also be eligible to enter. ALL CONTESTANTS: Contestants will pay entry fees of $400. Contestants will not compete on any additional steers. The times that are recorded for the contestants’ competition runs at the Gail Mountain Classic Steer Roping Event will be used to determine the pay-off. Pay-off will only include the entry fees for the contestants who entered the Legacy Steer Roping through PROCOM. 6% will be held out of the total amount for the PRCA prior to the pay-off. Only the three go-rounds and the average after three go-rounds will be included in the pay-off for the Legacy Steer Roping. There will be no additional added money and since no additional animals will be run, there will be no additional stock charge or PROCOM charge. ALL CONTESTANTS: Money won in the Legacy Steer Roping will not count towards PRCA World Standings, circuit standings, All Around standings, or for money won qualifications. It will count towards qualifying for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals held in conjunction with the National Finals Steer Roping. (NFSR qualifiers will not be eligible for the Legacy Steer Roping Finals). STK.
