MYLES CARLSON PICKS UP BIGGEST WIN OF CAREER IN FALLON M yles Carlson is looking to make a splash this season. The 23-year-old cowboy hasn’t had the best start to the 2026 season, something he admits he had hoped wouldn’t be the case as he enters his fourth go in PRO RODEO. But that all changed April 18 in Fallon, as he picked up the biggest win of his career with an 87-point ride on Burch Rodeo’s Lyin Hostage. Carlson didn’t plan on competing at Battle Born Broncs, but when he saw there had been several turn outs, he decided to try to get in as a walk-up replace ment. His last-minute decision to make the drive to Fallon led to one of the biggest victories of his young career. “I looked at the trades list in Fallon, and I saw a couple of turnouts,” Carlson said. “It was a gamble because you have to show up three hours before the rodeo and wait to see if you get a spot. “I didn’t know much about the horse, but I watched one video of it. It looked pretty good, and it looked like it would fit me.” Carlson has qualified twice to the Mountain States Cir cuit Finals, but his eyes are set even higher this season as he chases his first NFR qualification. So far, the 2026 season hasn’t played out the way he had hoped. But the opportunity for momentum from the win in Fallon could turn things around quickly for the 23-year-old cowboy. “I had won little bits and pieces here and there, but this will help a lot,” Carlson said. “I’m super thankful that I ended up going, and hopefully, I just keep the momentum going.” By Tierney Myers, Special to PRORODEO Sports News
