PRCA WINS GOLDEN BUCKLE AWARD

G litter and Gold was the theme as the 82nd annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo parade, a nod to Colorado Springs’ mining history. The parade promotes the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, a Colorado Springs tradition started in 1937 by Spencer Penrose. Since 1946, proceeds from the rodeo have benefited local military families. This year the PRCA, in conjunction with the ProRodeo Hall of Fame, won the Golden Buckle Award for their float at the annual parade that was held July 5 in downtown Colorado Springs, Colo.
