RESISTOL ROOKIE NOAH LEE STAYS HOT, WINS UVALDE XBULLS

T he 18-year-old bull riding phenom, Noah Lee, struck again at the Cactus Jack Xtreme Bull Riding event in Uvalde, Texas, May 2. Lee covered all his bulls at the Rank 45 Xtreme Bulls Series event and ended with a total of 265.5 points on three head. Lee rode his first bull, Debo of United Pro Rodeo, for 86 points for a fifth-place finish. Then in Round 2, he rode Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Tailspin for 88.5 points, which moved him into the No. 1 spot in the average and sent him on to the short round.
In the final round, Dustin Boquet put the pressure on Lee by riding Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s East Texas Outlaw for 88 points, making him 260 points on three bulls. Lee had to ride for at least 86 points to take the win. He secured the title with a 91-point ride on New Star Pro Rodeo’s Smorgasboard. “The bull I rode in the short round was really whippy and quick,” he said. “When I heard the score, I knew I had won it. I just want to keep getting my bulls ridden. That’s the only thing I really think about.”
