Saddle bronc rider Shorty Garrett earned $16,490 at the RAM
National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Greeley, Colo. Garrett won the RAM NCFR title on a tie- breaker over Stetson Wright after each had 87.5-point rides in the finals.

Six-time and reigning bull riding champion Sage Kimzey had
a 90-point ride to win the Gooding (Idaho) Pro Rodeo to collect $4,004 and move into the top spot in the PRCA | RAM World Standings less than two weeks before the end of the regular season.

Xtreme Bulls Tour. While Campbell failed to earn a check at the Xtreme Bulls Tour Finale in Nephi, Utah, Sept. 19, he banked enough money early in the tour to help claim his first Xtreme Bulls Tour title. Josh Frost won the Xtreme Bulls Tour Finale in Nephi with 174.5 points on two head.
Tie-down roper Tyson Durfey ignored the pain in his back and the numbness in his legs. Going into the Gold Buckle Beer ProRodeo Tour Finale, the 2016 world champion was on the outside looking in at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Durfey knew what was required to get into the Finals on the final weekend of the regular season. So, he went out and posted an 8-second run in the final round of the Tour Finale to book a return trip to the Wrangler NFR by jumping from 20th to 12th in the PRCA | RAM World Standings.
