Brazile, the King of Cowboys, won a PRCA-record 26 world championships, including 14 all-around gold buckles. “It’s awesome, I mean Trevor is the greatest there’s ever been in the sport of rodeo,” Wright said. “So, to have my name next to him it’s pretty awesome. “I think this (all-around) title may mean a little bit more to me with winning the saddle bronc as well. For so long I wanted to follow in my dad and brothers’ footsteps as a world champion, now I can say I’ve done just that.” Wright finished the season with a PRCA regular season record of $686,513, winning the all-around title with a record $585,850, which broke Trevor Brazile’s PRCA record for most money won in a season at $518,011, which he accomplished in 2015 “I feel really good about it (breaking the record),” he said. “To break any record at all, it’s special, and especially when it comes to Trevor (Brazile) because he is the best to do it. To break one of his records, it’s pretty special.”

He was the saddle bronc riding champ as well with $343,524, edging out his brother Ryder Wright by just more than a thousand dollars. Wright had to have a bunch of the pieces of the puzzle come together in Round 10 and they did. Wright won Round 10 with a round-record tying ride of 93 points on Cervi Championship Rodeo’s Vitalix Ricky Bobby. “I didn’t know I even had a chance coming into that final round, but I guess as long as there’s still rounds there’s always a chance,” Wright said. Wright took some time to relish in his accomplishments once the Finals wrapped up, but quickly shifted his focus to the 2022 season and finding a way to build on his already impressive legacy in ProRodeo. “I’m as satisfied and happy as I can be right now with these world championships, I can hardly put it into words,” he said. “But I still have a lot more I want to accomplish in this sport. So, it’s time to get back to work, the new season starts tomorrow and I’m ready to get after it again that’s for sure.”
