PASSING TIME WITHOUT RODEO

TYLER TAYLOR DELIVERS EASTER LUNCH TO HOSPITAL • Texas bull rider with the PRCA since 2015 Perez) had the idea for a Facebook fundraiser to buy lunch for the hospital here in Stephenville (Texas). Within the hour we had $200 raised, so we bought a bunch of burgers and salads, and our neighbor made cupcakes and we made Easter goody bags, too. We were pretty surprised when they said we were the first people to donate lunch, and they’re there 24 hours a day. We’re planning on delivering a few more lunches throughout the month to help feed those who help us so much. It’s definitely making us realize what’s important to us, no doubt about that. PRCA members make the most of their downtime

AARON HUDSON RANCHING IN FLORIDA • Southeastern Circuit Bareback Riding Champion (2000) turned pickup man from Fort Ogden, Fla. We have been ranching on the same land in Florida for five generations and have about 700 head of cattle. We never wonder if we can find something to do at Hudson Ranch. I’ve lost 11 rodeos so far and it shut us down, so we’re riding a bunch of colts and just got done branding, too. I also gather a lot of cattle for other ranches and have been keeping in touch with my rodeo friends. I talked to Cody DeMoss and he said it’s harder working at home than it is at rodeos.

A calendar packed with ProRodeo competition has turned into a period of free time as the world sorts out the COVID-19 pandemic. With many competitions canceled or postponed, ProRodeo athletes and PRCA members are checking things off their to-do list or simply enjoying this rare moment of free time.
