FRED J. GOMEZ

Fred J. Gomez, a former PRCA steer wrestler,

who enjoyed roping and being a rodeo judge, passed away April 18. He was 72. Gomez was born

Nov. 9, 1950, in Tempe, Ariz. He was a resident of Okeechobee, Fla., for 17 years. Gomez is survived by his wife of 28 years, Molleetha; sons, John R. Gomez, and Fred Gomez, II; daughter-in law, Johanna Gomez;

grandchildren, Connor, Dakota, Kayla, Bryon, Callie, and Caleb; and great grandson, Dawson. Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. (ET) Saturday, April 29 at Okeechobee Cattlemen’s Arena, 1885 US-441, Okeechobee, FL 34972.
