BY TRACY RENCK W ith PRCA rodeos at a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cowboys – like a lot of other people – have plenty of time on their hands. What have you been doing? Trevor: I’ve just been riding horses, training horses and (helping with) my kids’ activities. It is in my blood, I love it. Although I don’t get to compete as much, I still rope every day. It is my passion and continues to be. Do you train horses for other people or just train your horses? Trevor: I do both. I worked for people through high school that did it (train horses) so I would have a place to rope. I was exposed to it (horse training). I didn’t know that’s what I would do one day, but I knew the better I was at that, the easier it would be to keep my horses going. What are your rodeo plans for this season? Trevor: If the family wants to go to Cheyenne (Wyo.) we will go to

The first installment features the King of Cowboys, Trevor Brazile, Brazile has won a PRCA record 25 gold buckles. Before the 2018 Wrangler NFR, Brazile announced he was cutting back on his rodeo schedule to spend more time with his family. Brazile’s wife, Shada, is a barrel racer who qualified for the Wrangler NFR in 2013. They have a son, Treston, 12, and daughters, Style, 10, and Swayzi, 4.
