PASSING TIME WITHOUT RODEO

KEEPING THE FAITH WITH COLE ELSHERE My wife (Kyndra) and I watch Elevation Church, Sunday morning at 8 a.m., and we go to our church at 11 a.m. We do it every Sunday since you can watch it live or watch it afterwards. When we are gone rodeoing, we watch it on the weeks we can’t get home, so no matter where we’re at we can watch it. It’s a live feed on YouTube from a church in Matthews, N.C. One of our goals is to go there and attend in person. We found it over social media. When my wife heard the preacher speak, she got a lot from the message. We like hearing from him, and we get a lot out of his sermons, so we put forth an effort to watch it. But when we are home, we go to our home church, as well.

The ProRodeo world was put on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Like nearly all public events, many ProRodeo competitions have been postponed or canceled. With no competitions on their roster right now, ProRodeo athletes are staying busy at home, and ProRodeo Sports News decided to share some of their doings via social media. What to do? Cowboys keep busy during pandemic BY MATT NABER

WORKING OUT WITH JACOB TALLEY They have Louisiana and Texas locked down, so we aren’t doing too much. We have 35 steers and a gym at my house, so we can practice and stay sharp. Right now, it’s just me and him (Justin Shaffer), so it’s easy for us to do that, but they don’t want people out and about. We’re about 50 miles apart, but we have room for them to stay. We figured we’d all already been exposed to each other so we’re good.
