DINNER FOR TWO Who would you pick? Cowboys talk about who they’d want to dine, talk with If you could have dinner with anyone in the world – dead or alive – who would it be and why? ProRodeo Sports News posed that question to PRCA cowboys to peel back a layer into their thinking and let fans get to know them better.

VIN FISHER JR. Steer roper, 16-time qualifier for the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping I would want to meet (former president) George W. Bush. He was raised in Midland, Texas, right here, 45 miles from where we live (in Andrews, Texas). It would be neat to get to meet him and hear his story. I would like to learn what he went through on 9/11 and the intel he was getting and decisions he had to make and what the options were. That would be really neat to me to know what was being said in those rooms, just how tough of a time it was and the decisions he had to make. It would also be neat to hear billion-dollar franchise. If I could learn from anybody, I think it would be from him. STERLING CRAWLEY Saddle bronc rider, six-time qualifier for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo I would have liked to have had dinner with Patrick Swayze (actor who passed away Sept. 14, 2009, from pancreatic cancer at 57). Road House is my favorite movie, Dirty Dancing is outstanding. I would binge watch that movie Road House for weeks at a time in college. I quoted Patrick Swayze during my brother (Jacobs’) best man speech. It was the better part of the speech he (Swayze) gave the employees when he was taking over.

There’s not a movie better to quote than Road House . It’s hysterical. The first thing I would ask if I had the chance is where did he get those moves?

BOUDREAUX CAMPBELL Bull rider, three-time Wrangler NFR qualifier Gosh, dang, that’s a tough one. I would have to say Marilyn Monroe (iconic actress and singer, who passed away Aug. 4, 1962, at 36). I would ask her how things were back in the day being married to Joe DiMaggio and how much money she made for acting. Then, I would tell her how much movie stars make today. I would ask her if she would maybe want to go get ice cream after dinner. I know I would be nervous if I had dinner with Marilyn Monroe. I would just have to take deep breaths. I feel like I could handle it, I would be all right. CLAYTON BIGLOW Reigning PRCA world champion bareback rider, four-time Wrangler NFR qualifier I would have to say Tiger Woods. I love to golf and really enjoy watching him play. The first thing I would ask if I had dinner with him would be what makes him so mentally strong on the golf course. It seems like every time he needs to play well in a big tournament he does. I think I could learn a lot from him about being mentally tough. That mental toughness is something that definitely carries over to rodeo for sure. – Tracy Renck

about his campaign and ups and downs. I’ve always heard what a great guy he was, and he’s just a really good West Texas guy. No telling what a guy might learn. He also was a businessman. He bought the Texas Rangers for a minimal amount with investors and turned it into a
