Sellars wins nearly $16,000 with Xtreme Bulls win Big Boost

Florida native Clayton Sellars received a jolt in the standings at the San Angelo (Texas) Xtreme Bulls, leaving town with $15,217. Sellars won the event with 180.5 points on two- step like this right before we hit the summer run was crucial. This is a good feeling for sure. “That was my first time on Soy El Fuego, and I’ve seen him around the last year or two,” Sellars said. “He looked really, really good every time I had seen him, and I was super excited to see my name next to his. That ride felt really good. He was really fast. I had a little trouble toward the end of the ride, and I slid off in the well there for a second. That was kind of scary, but other than that the ride was pretty easy going.” Sellars finished second in the long round with an 89.5-point ride on Rafter HRodeo Livestock’s Shagga. The victory was Sellars’ second career Division I Xtreme Bulls win. His first came at the Spanish Fork (Utah) Fiesta Days Xtreme Bulls event July 20, 2020. Sellars joins Fletcher Jowers (Austin, Texas) and Dustin Boquet (San Antonio) as the three winners on the 2021 Division 1 Xtreme Bulls Tour. Sellars, a two-time NFR qualifier, is confident the remainder of the 2021 schedule will be far more normal than the 2020 version that was severely limited because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’m excited,” Sellars said. “It looks like we are going to have opportunities to go win as the schedule opens up. Busy is better in any business. I like to ride dirt bikes and wakeboard and stuff like that, but I’ve always dreamed about riding bulls since I was a kid when I was watching guys on TV and wanting to be just like them. I’ve been able to put it all together right now, and that’s special.”
